Nature Art, Photographs and Gifts for Any Season

We love to photograph and draw and paint nature and our Naturally Native Gallery reflects our love of nature and the outdoors. We take pictures each day when we walk our 2 rescued dogs to the beautiful Tchefuncte River and we can share our view of the animals in our habitat by creating products on Zazzle. All the proceeds from our Zazzle Gallery go towards restoring the habitat that was decimated by Hurricane Katrina and to buy food to supplement the native trees and shrubs until they are back up to pre-Katrina fruiting capacity.

About Us

Naturally Native is all about our love of nature, animals and the great outdoors. We enjoy Louisiana's scenic rivers and the abundant native flora and fauna and we want to share it with the world. Most of the photographs featured here were taken in Southeastern Louisiana both pre and post Katrina. The dog and cat subjects in our photos and art work are our very own, beloved rescued pets.

The proceeds from the sale of our products are used for our Little Tchefuncte Hummingbird Hill Habitat to purchase feed for the wildlife and native trees and shrubs to replace the hundreds that were lost as a result of Hurricane Katrina.

Visit our Naturally Native Creations web page to see more of our photographs and to learn more about the wildlife and native plants of Southeastern Louisiana.

We hope you enjoy browsing through our gallery. It's like taking a virtual tour of our habitat on the Little Tchefuncte River.

Posters and Prints

Every morning on our daily walk to the Little Tchefuncte River, I bring along a camera. We never know what we will see on the trails through the woods. The camera is also always handy throughout the day. I got the shots of the Red-shouldered hawk eating the dove when I happened to see it swoop down and take it in our front yard. It then sat in an Oak tree and devoured it as I snapped away. Lesson: you must always be prepared with an extra card and batteries on hand.

With all the habitat destruction and urban sprawl, the large tracts of land that are needed for these large birds have been cut into small islands, which reduces the population that can be supported.

in reply to Jewelsofawe Make sure you are logged on to Zazzle. In a text module, you use the "link to this" code in Zazzle and delete the extra words, then string the code together with one space between (no returns). Adjust the size according to how many you want on each line. These are 190. The size is the number 325.jpg in img src. Just change the number. See http://www.squidoo.com/zazzlegallery for more instructions. But now you can also use the new Zazzle module and just choose posters and a search term. But it will put the 9 most recent ones only.
