Call of Duty Black Ops Nazi Zombies Strategies
Ranked #904 in Games, #26,056 overall
What is Nazi Zombies?
Zombies / Nazi Zombies is a leisure game mode in Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops for both single player and co-op modes are available with up to four players online or two players in local split screen. It became highly popular upon its release. The name "Nazi Zombies" is official, but in some maps the player faces zombies of other nationalities, including American zombies and Imperial Japanese zombies.
The player must survive endless waves of attacking Zombies, buying weapons and perks in the process, and optionally repair nearby defenses to keep zombies out. There is no limit to the levels. Zombies become stronger and faster upon completion of each round, forcing players to make tactical decisions about point spending and progressing through the map. Sometimes, zombies drop power-ups.
Originally, the campaign of World at War was to be completed in order to unlock Nazi Zombies, however following an update, the playlist became available to every player no matter if they completed the campaign or not.
Altogether, Zombie Mode consists of seven maps; the first, second, fourth, fifth, and seventh feature Nazi Zombies (NDU, Verruckt, Der Riese, Kino der Toten, Dead Ops) , while the third features Imperial Japanese Zombies (Shi No Numa), and the sixth features American civilian, military and scientist zombies ("Five").
Shi No Numa, Der Riese, and Kino Der Toten all have the same four playable characters, while 'Five' has characters who actually existed in real-life (non-canon to the storyline).

Kino Der Toten characters

Tank Dempsey
"Tank Dempsey: American hero. Give him a loaded weapon, a good woman, and something to shoot at and he's happy. Cross him and he'll rip your guts out and use them as a bandolier. Dempsey was selected for this mission after he showed his true grit at the battle for Peleliu. His unit was captured during the early raids before the main invasion, and he spent 2 weeks in a rat infested bamboo cage submerged in malarial water. Eventually, he gnawed his way through the cage, and then gnawed his way through his captors armed only with a Bobby pin and his Medal of Honor which he keeps secreted in various body cavities. There is no before the war for Dempsey, there is no after. There is only the legend of Tank Dempsey, and how he won the war for the rest of us. Leaving behind a wake of destruction and meat sacks wherever he goes, Dempsey is the man to have on your side when faced with an undead apocalypse".[1]
His mission was to recover Peter from Group 935, but somehow his memory was wiped from Element 115 according to a document in Vbush. Richtofen is aware of this memory wipe as the document says he's observing him, Takeo, and Nikolai.

Nikolai Belinski
"Stalin himself cannot stare Nikolai in the eye, no one can. For in his eyes you see the soul of a man burning with a hatred of all things living. His closet is full of skeletons, many of them with the flesh still attached. Before the war, Nikolai quickly made his way up through the party ranks by killing the next man in line, and by marrying politically. His aspirations all came crashing down after his fifth wife mysteriously died while cleaning Nikolai's axe with her neck. Little did he know that she had been sleeping with a high ranking party official on the side. After her tragic demise, Nikolai's reputation spread quickly through the party, and it wasn't long before Stalin himself had heard about the psychopathic politician who killed anything that came within 5 feet of him. As soon as the war started, Nikolai was dropped at the front line and forgotten about, where he wallowed in self pity and Vodka for several years. With many weapons in his arsenal, not least of which is his breath, Nikolai Belinski can look death in the eye and say "I know you"."
Nikolai's reason for fighting the zombies is currently unknown. It might never be discovered as his memory was wiped by Element 115 as detailed by a document from Vbush. He, Takeo, and Dempsey are being observed by Richtofen, who knows about the memory wipe.

Takeo Masaki
Very little is known about Takeo. However, he is shown as a loyal, Imperial Captain and is one of the four soldiers fighting off the Zombie horde. It is unknown how he feels fighting against his undead brothers, but is shown fighting them off. He is the least seen of the four soldiers in the Shi No Numa trailer.
Tattooed on the inside of Takeo's eyelids is the Japanese proverb "Life is light when compared to honor". For Takeo, life has no meaning if not to perfect one's discipline and to reveal a warrior's true character and honor. He ponders this and other philosophical questions as his Katana slices through the flesh and sinew of his enemy.
Takeo was born into wealth. His family dynasty dates back several centuries, and throughout that time they have been highly decorated Samurai and Bushi. Takeo is no exception to this celebrated bloodline. When the family first saw the young, life-filled 5 year old Takeo playing in the street with his Katana and slicing the tails off terrified kittens, they knew he was destined to bring honor to the Masaki name.
The war was a perfect opportunity for Takeo to explore his blood-lust and study the nature of those less honorable than himself. If you fall victim to his swift action and might, know that you have helped a man better than you reach enlightenment.
It was discovered that Takeo had a piece of his memory wiped from Element 115, and is currently being observed by Richtofen who knows about the mind wiping.

Dr.Edward Richtofen
"Beware The Doc". This message was scrawled across walls of every town under Axis control. "Starvation may cripple you, dysentery may wreck you, and gunfire may rip the flesh from your bones, but Beware The Doc".
Meet Dr. Richtofen, known affectionately as The Butcher to his victims as they scream in agony moments before he snuffs out their light. Throughout his career, Richtofen has always been at the forefront of torture and information extraction research. Before the war he was a back alley plastic surgeon, who created an army of monstrous affluent Weimar socialites that would follow him around and laugh at every joke the genius doctor made. This all fell apart when the republic fell and the Nazi party took control. To Richtofen, their values were too moral, too liberal for his liking. He joined the army so he could satisfy his need to watch people die, slowly.
An incurable sociopath, he sees no moral distinction between natural death and murder. The victim is the victim, regardless of how their demise manifests itself.
He has a collection of stuffed animals, most of them posed in positions of terror at the instant of their death.
"Five" characters
John F. Kennedy
A playable character in the zombie map "FIVE", as seen during the mission U.S.D.D.
- Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind. -- Death quote.
- A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on. -- Death quote.
- As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. -- Death quote.
- A nation reveals itself not only by the men it produces but also by the men it honors, the men it remembers. -- Death quote.
- Don't get mad, get even. -- Death quote.
- As I always say, forgive your enemies, but remember their names. -- Talking about Nixon's loss of the election.

Richard Milhous Nixon
A playable character in the map "FIVE", he is not seen during the campaign or any other game mode.
He is voiced by Dave Mallow. He often doesn't talk as much as other characters do.
When he does talk, he often refers to his hatred of hippies, and shows signs of his paranoia, both of which are notable aspects of Nixon.
He was president of the United States (1969-1974)(for anyone who didn't know)
One of his quotes are "No Mr. Hippie, I expect you to die".
Which is a reference to the James Bond film "Goldfinger", though Mr. Hippie is Mr. Bond in the James bond movie.
.

Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz
Was the Cuban dictator and is an antagonist in the campaign of Call of Duty: Black Ops, but a protagonist in "Five".
In the mission Operation 40, Mason, Woods and Bowman's mission is to assassinate Fidel Castro. Mason successfully kills Castro, but it is later revealed in the same mission that Mason killed a double. The real Castro captures Mason, and turns him over to Dragovich. (*Spoiler*)His ship which he had given Dragovich (Rusalka) would turn out to be the Number Station for the Nova 6 weapon.
Robert McNamara
He is seen in the mission U.S.D.D. and joins Alex Mason and Jason Hudson and escorts them to the Pentagon and through it until they reach the Defcon level, where before meeting John F. Kennedy, Hudson leaves and after a brief conversation between the President, he doesn't speak again.

Special

George A. Romero
George A. Romero, stars as a boss-character in the Zombies map Call of the Dead from the map pack Escalation. He is also referred to as "The Director". Romero was doing research for a World War II movie when he came across Nazi documents pertaining to Element 115.
QUOTE: "Years ago I did research for a World War II movie. I came across some Nazi documents. I couldn't believe what I was reading. Element 115, raising from the dead, real creepy stuff. The coolest thing is? Some of that crazy shit happened right here."

Power Ups
Power Ups are temporary upgrades, from Double Points to Fire Sale. They appear randomly when you kill a zombie so there is no way to know how, or when a power up will drop, it can happen anytime. Though, few power ups are specific to the map, they provide you decent advantage for a limited time period (which is 30 seconds).
Nuke
A big floating atomic bomb. If you pick it up, it kills the zombies currently on the map, not spawning zombies, it also doesn't end the round (unless there are no more zombies spawning). Good for a breather or when you need to revive someone. Use it when you are in trouble like stranded in a cluster of zombies, or if you just want to. I reccomend grabbing it whenever possible!.
Carpenter
A big floating hammer. It repairs all the the destroyed barricades at one time. Use it when you need more points, or when you need to repair the barricades for some bizarre reason. Repairing barricades manually is more than enough, but carpenter awards you with 200 points for using Carpenter power up.
Insta Kill
Big floating skull. one-hit-kill power up. Use your knife or pistol, save the ammo of your primary weapon with insta kill, when activated it makes every weapon whether its good or bad lethal again!
Double Points
Floating 2X symbol, grab it to earn double points. If you were to earn 10 points for hitting a zombie, now you will earn 20. You can gain points faster. you will also get double points for Nuke and Carpenter aswell! Good power up to have when you have while fighting the horde of zombies and with no points! .
Max Ammo
Floating Ammo Box. If you have your mystery box weapon or an upgraded weapon, or ANY weapon infact, it will refill your ammunition to the max , along with your grenades and your secondary grenade. Its the must have power up and luckily, its the most commonly found power up in the game.
Death Machine
Giant Mini gun you can use to wreck havoc amongst the zombies (as seen in the multiplayer you acquire this weapon from a care package). Last for 30 seconds like every other power up("FIVE" and Ascension only)
Fire Sale
A big tag with "SALE!!"! on it. Its makes random boxes appear in ALL locations across map, and costs only 10 points but, lasts for very short period of time.
Bonfire Sale
A Bonfire sale is a very special power-up that is only obtainable in the Nazi Zombies map, "Five" by killing the Thief before he can steal anybody's weapons. A Bonfire Sale reduces the price of the Pack-A-Punch Machine from 5000 points to 1000 points, and links all of the teleporters to the Pack-A-Punch Machine regardless of the DEFCON level.
Free Perk
This power-up is only gain-able by successfully killing all the space monkeys on the zombie map Ascension, If you successfully complete the round without losing a perk you obtain this power-up. On Call of the dead you have to kill George a. Romero This power-up awards you with a random perk without costing you a cent!

Starting Strategy (ALL BUT COTD)
- Round 1: Shoot zombies 5 times and then knife them.
- Round 2: Shoot zombies 8 times then knife them
- Round 3: Shoot zombies 12 times then knife them or shoot them 8 times then knife them twice
- Round 4: Shoot zombies 16 times then knife them
-If possible let a zombie in and try get max ammo this helps alot.
-Use pistol for the above
-Don't buy any weapons in the starting room, unless you are in trouble.
After round 4 you should have a door open.
If you find the box use it!
Kino Der Toten Strategy
What you should have:
Overall
Make sure someone has monkey's incase you start getting overrun or if someone is downed
Someone has Quick Revive or Upgraded Ballistic Knife's
Someone has Thundergun
No doors in the camping area are open (except the one that was opened to get to the spot.)
________________________________________________________________________
End Game
The simplest time and the time to just try your hardest...
End game usually happens when you start getting overrun repetitively if your struggling then use everything you've got, it could extend the game time getting you a better spot on the leaderboards!
1st bottom room
If a teammate gets downed throw a monkey or ballistics him (If you have it upgraded) when it is safe
If there are too many and you can't hold off or you have run out of monkey bombs then I suggest you open the alley door and do a run around (run around the map while gathering zombies come behind you and chase you, zombie dodging is useful in this situation and a a thundergun), If you opened a door and theres nowhere to go camp I suggest you hide in the teleporter and turn it on when you are in trouble, also turn on the turret this will kill some zombies making it slightly easier for you and your teammates.
1st top room
Activate the trap if its getting WAY too hard and open the foyer room door
If a teammate gets downed throw a monkey or ballistics him (If you have it upgraded)
Alley Way
If you start getting overrun it is a sign to open the bottom room door and run, you would last longer with more space
Use everything you have don't save this and that just use it or die
If you do get overrun open the door and then open the next (if you already haven't) then run down the theater room and head towards the teleporter, but when all your teammates have enter the theater make sure you activate the trap in the doorway to the theater if you can't just run! Now just go into the teleporter and activate, this will give you time to upgrade (if there's a weapon you haven't upgraded). Once you leave the teleporter and land back in the main room, you need to Zombie dodge your way around the map whilst activating traps along the way and survive as long as possible.
- Jugger-nog (Juggernaut)
- Teleporter is active for use before you move to the next round
- One upgraded gun

Dog's Strategy
Keep running around the map and do not stop, if no-one has ammo follow each other in a line so the person at the front leads, the 2nd person knifes or shoots the dogs following the 1st person and the 3rd does the same for the 2nd, but the 4th person will have to wait, when all but the 4th person's dogs are dead the rest should kill them for him. This strategy is useful when you have no ammo otherwise just shoot-em up
________________________________________________________________________
Mid-game Strategy
1st bottom room:
Okay, if you have 4 players (which you should) 2 should be at the windows and 2 should be the main. When someone taking the main is low ammo they usually switch with someone taking a window but if you have 3 or 2 then someone will have to take both windows.
1st top room:
If you have 4 players 1 should take the back window, 1 should kill the zombies that jump down from the roof (to protect others) and the other 2 should kill all the zombies at main (Use electric fence in emergencies)
Alley Way
This is a good spot because there is 1 window and 1 main, 1 takes window (of course) but the window doesn't get much zombies so their better off taking main along with the rest and checking back with the window.
Overall

End game usually happens when you start getting overrun repetitively if your struggling then use everything you've got, it could extend the game time getting you a better spot on the leaderboards!
1st bottom room
1st top room
Alley Way
"FIVE" Strategy
What you should have:
Overall
Make sure someone has monkey's incase you start getting overrun or if someone is downed
Someone has Quick Revive or Upgraded Ballistic Knife's
Someone has Winters Howl
Always have someone close to the elevator switch incase you are overrun
If you are in the elevator, activate all Defcons except the one closest to the elevator, this is so when you are in trouble you can retreat to the Defcon room, or if your in trouble at the defcon room you can retreat into the elevator then re-camp back at the defcon room.

2nd Elevator
You would usually get near round 20 in the elevator but if you did/do...
Stay at bottom floor and if you get overrun run to the top and throw a monkey or build a moving defence, then activate the last defcon and get into the teleporter, you should be safe for a couple seconds but someone needs to get window and 3 people need to get the main (the doorway). When you get overrun throw a monkey or go into the teleporter (opposite Pack-a-Punch) and try survive and get back into the room or hold your positions or go to the elevator
Defcon room
Okay when you start getting overrun throw a monkey and rage fire or run into the teleporter (Opposite Pack-a-Punch) and survive for as long as possible, use whatever you can to get back into the Defcon room or get to the 2nd elevator...don't put yourself at risk it may just get you killed.
- Jugger-nog (Juggernaut)
- All but 1 defcons are activated (the one closest to elevator)
- One upgraded gun
- Okay for the elevator if you on top floor you get someone at the back to protect back window and the 3 others usually protect main.
- If your on the bottom floor then its the exact same thing.
- This is a really good room because there is the pack-a-punch machine but 2 windows... to get to it you need to turn on the power and activate all defcon's to 5 then go to the teleporter that the 2nd elevator is facing.
- When your in you have one person at the windows and 3 at main, or 2 at windows and 2 at main. This is a really good room

Mad Scientist strategy
What you need is a good long range weapon or medium range such as a machine-gun or raygun, and to be on the bottom-most floor of the map.
What you need to do is get the person that is getting chased (whether it is you or someone else) to run around and into the teleporters around the area, while the others are chasing the Scientist and shooting him. If you are successful and no weapons are stolen you will get Bonfire sale (more information above)

Monkey Strategy
Simple and easy to stop the space monkeys, The monkeys take your perk by destroying the perk dispenser whether it is jugger-nog or speed cola.
If you have someone at each machine that has been used this will stop the space monkeys from destroying the machine and taking your perk.
If you successfully complete the round without getting a perk stolen you will aquire the Free Perk power-up (more information above)

PhD
If you get overrun use a Gersch Device otherwise if you don't try not to use the lander use the drop down point and lure them away.
If worst comes to worst then use the lander and try to zombie dodge around the Centrifuge at the start. Hopefully it will start up, so crouch down! When it finishes try running to a large area, or just run back to PhD and call back the lander and try re-do it.

What you should have:
- Jugger-nog (Juggernaut)
- All landers used and rocket has been fired (rocket launch button is next to power)
- One good gun (or upgraded gun)

PhD
- This area is called the PhD because it is next to the PhDFlopper machine!
- There is one window inside the Phd room and one up the stairs opposite the phd window. There is a main (as usual) that 2 people can hold off easily, that's if these 2 people are prefferably the people with the best guns.
- There is also a drop down point and a moon lander, for escapes in case you are overrun.
- Sometimes the box goes into the box zone and the people on the windows can use box!

Call Of The Dead Strategy (COTD)
Call of the Dead Strategy
Starting Strategy
Well what I would do usually is to avoid George. A. Romero. whilst killing zombies...This works well on the little island where quick revive is.
So really just camp at the island till round 4 and if George Romero comes close get someone to lure him away!
Remember: Jumping whilst in the water increases speed and decreases the amount of time it takes for you to freeze!
Mid-Game Strategy
By this point you need to have Juggernog and perhaps quick revive.
What happens varies between the amount of players...There are several zombie dodging spots, such as: Front of the light house (bottom), Quick Revive, Back of the boat and in some case's the Front of the light house (Middle).
Front of the light house (bottom) - Very good spot, usually good for good players as they can run lap's around Romero if hes with the player here, and if you accidentally shoot him there's water just around the corner!
Quick Revive - Usually just running from quick revive and around through the water and such... good spot if ya know how to do zombie dodging and maybe a decent gun.
Back of the boat - This spot cuts into the quick revive spot...what happens is you run up the stairs all the way to the zip line and make a stand there and when you get overrun you just take the zipline down and start again.
Front of the light house (middle) - Hard to explain, but it's with stairs and its an entrance to the lighthouse. If you know it just run laps under the stairs and around them. It is impossible with Romero so don't try it solo. Maybe bit hard

Tips and hints
Just so you know:
"Main" is a nickname for the point where MOST zombies come from
-If your in a good connection game learn "Zombie Dodging" so if your a long way away from your teammates you can dodge the Zombies to get to them. This is occasionally done by running into gaps in a crowd of zombies. To practice it just run past big groups of zombies and run through them. This becomes useful on many occasions so practice it and you'll be perfect!
-On Kino Der Toten always have the teleporter active so you can run to it incase you are overrun, to activate it you must go to the stage and activate the power then initiate link to teleporter, then run to the start and go to the pad and complete the link.
-The best weapon combo to have is: Thundergun and Raygun (and monkeys) but occasionally it is good to do the experiment combo...The experiment combo is just having a gun of your choice (eg: Raygun) and a random weapon from the box you wouldn't usually use then upgrade the gun you got and try it out!
-On FIVE once the power is turned on you get "The Pentagon Thief" which comes every now and then like a dog round, he steals your currently equipped weapon, if you succeed in killing him then you get your gun back but if you do not then you just stick with the weapon that wasn't stolen, so put out your worst weapon when you hear him!
on Kino Der Toten once you reach the stage Don't turn on the power, someone(s) should be at the windows and the other person(s) should be killing the zombies at the main, this is to gain lots of points.
Once everyone has enough to pack a punch and atleast 2 goes at the box (7000pts+) you would usually go turn on the power and find the box to use it (if you already haven't)
Make sure the best person has Ballistics Knife (Upgraded) with Bowie knife or Sickle along with it, it is a good weapon to have but the best person should have it as they would die the least and they could revive the team easily.

- Kino One player just "zombie dodge" around the giant wooden things on stage and around map, two player the exact same thing but both around map? Although if you tend to be a person "strategically positions themselves" (camping) then I suggest you go do so at double-tap perk machine, the door to the "lower hall" should not be open. as this isn't exactly a good idea. Do you get what I mean? kill the zombies that come down the alley way by camping at the double tap....1 window 1 main good fun.
