With their fourth championship since 1999 - and third in five years - the Spurs joined the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls as the only teams in NBA history to win four titles.

With LeBron James slowed by a nasty head cold, the Cleveland Cavaliers turned up their defense to beat the Nets 81-77 on Sunday in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

The Cavaliers clogged up passing lanes, pushed bodies around under the basket and generally made life miserable for the playoff-tested Nets, who rarely got off a shot without a hand waving in their faces.
Game 2 ... Cleveland 102, New Jersey 92

Lebron James scored 25 of his 36 points in the second half and the Cavaliers, drawing from tough lessons learned in last year's playoffs, beat the New Jersey Nets 102-92 on Tuesday night to open a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Game 3 New Jersey 96, Cleveland 85

Coming home after two losses, the New Jersey Nets knew they needed to shoot better and rebound more.

Good thing they have Jason Kidd, who can do all that and more.

With blood spewing from a cut on his nose, Steve Nash could only watch from the bench while the San Antonio Spurs put away Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals.

"There was nothing I could do," he said. "It was obviously frustrating, but it was really out of my hands."

All Derek Fisher needed to do to inspire his teammates was make it to the game.

Carlos Boozer and the Jazz shoved and scraped to slow down the Warriors - and then Derek Fisher put a sweet finish on a victory that put Utah on the brink of the Western Conference finals.

Boozer had 34 points and 12 rebounds as the Jazz handed the eighth-seeded Warriors their first home loss of the postseason, 115-101 Sunday night to put Utah up 3-1 in their second-round playoff series.
