There is no place like Nebraska...
so the song goes. It is certainly true from the point of view of this lifelong Husker fan. I was born here in Lincoln, attended the University of Nebraska and graduated in 1998. My father had all daughters, so I became the surrogate boy and watched sports with him a lot growing up. So I ended up becoming a huge sports fan in general, but especially a very loyal Nebraska Cornhusker Fan.
Football is my favorite sport, with basketball a close second. Every year I fill in my brackets for the NCAA tournament and camp out for 4 days of almost non-stop basketball excitement. I'm also learning to be a Volleyball fan after our Women's Volleyball team has had some amazing years recently, including winning the National Championship in 2006!
It doesn't hurt to have the College World Series just up the road in Omaha either, for our Baseball team has been fairly competitive in recent years. This lens is going to focus on the upcoming sports schedules, and I'll do my best to keep them updated with wins and losses. I'll also include some other modules with Cornhusker related information and merchandise. For example, check out Fathead's wall art with the Nebraska Cornhusker Football helmet!

2007 Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Schedule
As of 11/24/07
Current Record: 5-7, 2-6 in Big 12 play
- Nevada - Home Game - Sept 1st 2:30 pm on ABC
(WIN: 52-10) - Wake Forest - Away Game - Sept 8th 11:00 am on ESPN
(WIN: 20-17) - USC - Home Game - Sept 15th 7:00 pm on ABC
(LOSS: 49-31)
(Editor's Note: Nebraska had the lead 10-7 with about 8 minutes left in the first half and lots of momentum. Then a quirky play and major injury on the ensuing kickoff led to about a 15 minute stopage of the game. We lost our focus, and never got it back.) - Ball State - Home Game - Sept. 22nd 11:30 am available on FSN Pay Per View
(WIN: 41-40)
(Editor's Note: I'm too relieved to comment - Ball State gave us everything they had, and we were lucky to win) - Iowa State - Home Game - Sept. 29th 1:05 PM
(WIN: 35-17) - Missouri - Away Game - Oct. 6th 8:15 PM on ESPN
(LOSS: 41-6) - Oklahoma State - Home Game - Oct. 13th 11:30 AM (HOMECOMING) on FSN Pay Per View
(LOSS: 45-14) - Texas A&M - Home Game - Oct. 20th 1:05 PM
(LOSS: 36-14) - Texas - Away Game - Oct. 27th 2:30 PM on ABC
(LOSS: 28-25)
(NOTE: After the opening drive of the 3rd quarter, Nebraska had a 17-3 lead. Then the offense went into hibernation until near the very end of the game, allowing Texas to chip away with some field goals, then a couple big plays for Touchdowns. However, I think many will say Nebraska was far more competitive in this game than they were expected to be. It was a sad loss, but better to lose close than lose big)
(ANOTHER NOTE: Our starting QB Sam Keller was knocked out of the game on the last drive with a left shoulder injury. They showed him on the sideline still in his pads with his arm taped into place. It could be a separated shoulder or a broken collarbone - too soon to tell at the time I'm writing this. But if Sam is out for the last 3 games of the year, Joey Gantz will have to step up big as the backup QB). - Kansas - Away Game - Nov. 3rd 11:30 AM on FSN
(LOSS: 76-39)
(NOTE: Most points ever given up by Nebraska - 'nuff said) - Kansas State - Home Game - Nov. 10th 11:30 AM on Versus
(WIN: 73-31) - Colorado - Away Game - Nov. 23rd 11:00 AM on ABC
(LOSS: 65-51)

Just had to drop by and take a look. You've done a great job here but I am going to have to say "Go Clemson Tigers". We live 4 miles from Clemson University and are avid fans. This ought to be a great Gator Bowl!

Very Nice page for Huskers fans. I'm working on a page for my team, the University of Virginia, but I have a long way to go before it is as nice as this.
