Have you ever lost a title and could not find it after you bought a car, truck, motorcycle, boat, motor home or even a mobile home. Have you ever bought a vehicle with the promise I have a title I have to find it. I will give you a bill of sale. In the state of Oklahoma a bill of sale needs notarized. If the vehicle is not in the persons name it really is no good except it proves that you did not steal the vehicle if it is notarized. You ask What can I do about this? Where do I go from here? That is an easy question for me because I have been doing this for 20 years or more. I had a salvage yard with my husband Joe Cecil and I did all the paperwork. We also had a used dealer lot and sold alot of cars every year so I know how to keep the paper work on that. I am a notary and have been for quite a while and know how to do that.so come on into my page and I will give you some information.

Lost Title
Have you ever lost a title to your vehicle after buying a car or truck etc. Well you will have to do a title 42 in the state of Oklahoma. If you had the vehicle brought up into your name, you can go to the tag agency and order a duplicate title for around 15.00. You can sell a car with a bill of sale if the car is in your name and you have the bill of sale notarized. In the state of Oklahoma a bill of sale that is not notarized is worthless. Also if you accept a bill of sale you need to have a copy of the persons id that you are purchasing the vehicle from for your protection from buying stolen property with out your knowledge of it. Before long the notary service is going to have to take a finger print of the person selling the vehicle. This will be a mandatory before long it is on its way now. It is so important not to lose your titles

If some one has abandoned their car on your property or on your rental property. You have the right to file a title 42 to remove or to charge storage and sell the car for your trouble. If a person leaves their car on your property and you are tired of it and can not get a hold of them.
Send them a certified letter to the owner of the car or lien holder and give them two full weeks to contact you and then you can sell the vehicle or get a title and let your son drive it. Title 42 is a legal means of taking care of problems with vehicles, or if it is a junk car you can take it to the scales and sell for junk if you have a title.

- hello my name is benjamin r. miller and i have a unique problem, i recently purchased a used motorcyle from a dealership that was abandoned there for over 3 years, the storage far exceeded the value of the machine , it was sold as a parts or track bike but i found it to be completely road worthy but now i need to get a title , there is no way to contact the previous owner and i only have a bill of sale, i reside in pa. so i'm not sure the laws are the same but could you tell me what would be involved and how much i could expect to spend on this process. please contact me at benjimiller28@yahoo.com or call 717-395-4858, thanks so much

- got a cbr 2002 600f4i out of a junk yard he had to send for a lost or salvge how long does it take to come back and can you any way to get a tag i have inc and a bill of sale and can not get one

What is a rebuilt title
A rebuilt title is one that has been wrecked and some fixed it and had it inspected and they received a rebuilt title. Usually a car had a salvage title on it and then it went to a rebuilt or it could have been stolen recovery that was paid out on insurance and it was rebuilt. This is a good way to save some money when you go to buy a car because they are not worth as much as one that has never been wrecked but no one knows it unless they look at the title. You can drive a nice car and look stylish with out the price tag of a new car. Most salvage yards have a body shop somewhere that works on them and resells the rebuilt vehicles. Always ask questions about the title before you purchase the vehicle.
What is a Junk title?
What is a junk title? it is not good. You can not drive it on the street and you can not bring it up to where you can drive it on the street. You can not tag it or ever put insurance on it. The car or truck may look good but if it has a junk title all you can do is use it for a parts car. Almost always if a car has been under water they will declare it a junk title. If a car has been rolled chances are it has ruined the engine because it was upside down and the oil was not being pumped to the engine properly. A junk title represents that the car has 75% damage and it can not be road worthy again. In some states the salvage title is one step above a junk and can be turned into a rebuilt title.
