Needle Felting 

As I learn, so will you.

This is the beginning of a fascinating journey, for me. I am an eclectic artist with an emphasis on clay sculpting. This has given me solid ground to explore from, in the world of needle felted characters.

Needle felting is done by taking a piece of wool fiber or wool roving and rolling it up and jabbing it with a felting needle, to create shapes. For me it is a joyful and very relaxing experience.

This technique can be extremely time consuming and it takes much longer for me to create a character in wool, than it does in clay, but it is less messy, I think and does not require firing or baking. When you are done..you are done.

I will be adding helpful links and tips, very soon, but I just received some wool in the mail and I simply MUST go and experiment with it!
