I got a fever, and the only prescription... is more cowbell!

This is a sketch of the VH1's Behind the Music. "Film from the 1976 recording session" of the band's hit, "Don't Fear The Reaper." The producer (Christopher Walken) introduces himself as "the Bruce Dickinson" and tells the band they have "what appears to be a dynamite sound." As they begin playing music, the band stops playing because the cowbell is loud and is distracting the lead singer. Bruce Dickinson feels that, to the surprise the band, there needs to be "a little more cowbell" and suggests that the cowbell player, Gene Frenkle (Will Ferrell), "really explore the studio space this time."

The first set of links are FULL VERSIONS of the skit, but may eventually be taken off due to violation rights, but as of February 2011 below are some that still have it...

As for the videos from Youtube, they take the full versions off, because of copyright by NBC, it gets taken off every time someone puts it up. Youtube still has different versions that are edited, but are still funny!

This might be the best lens I have ever seen. My husband loves Will Ferrell. What a great collections of Will Ferrell comedy. We could all use a little Will Ferrell in our lives.
