Negril Beach sits on the south side of the island of Jamaica. Negril beach is 7 miles strech of white sand beach. Negril has been rated as one of the top 21 sexiest beaches in the world by the travel channel television show Top 21 Sexiest Beaches. Also Negril beach has been rated by several travel magazines as the one of the top 10 beaches in the world. Negril beach sits in the village of Negril Jamaica. Negril is a large beach resort town located across parts of two Jamaican parishes, Westmoreland and Hanover. Westmoreland is the western most parish in Jamaica, located on the south side of the island.
The name "Negril" is a shortened version of "Negrillo," as it was originally named by the Spanish in 1494. The name is thought to be a reference to the black cliffs south of the village. These cliffs are used today for the cliff diving that draws hundreds of people .

The accommodations range from full service inclusive packages to very simple backpacking resorts or hotels. If you like me don't want to have to bother with carrying a lot of cash then a inclusive resort might be your speed.
