In 1990, the video game developer SNK teamed with ADK to create the video game console called NEOGEO ("new land"). It was created for arcades, but simultaneously compatible for home play. Neo Geo had a huge impact on video game history in the 1990s. Check out the 20th Anniversary page at:

SNK Playmore is a Japanese video game hardware and software company. SNK (the company's original name) stands for Shin Nihon Kikaku (or, "New Japan Project"). SNK was first founded by Eikichi Kawasaki in Osaka, Japan in July 1978. The original SNK existed until October 22, 2001. Kawasaki, anticipating the coming end of his 1st company, founded Playmore - which became SNK Playmore in 2003. More at:
