Nerf Sports Toys

NERF Sports Toys are perfect toys for playing indoors. The word NERF stands for Non-Expanding Recreational Foam. All of the NERF toys are made of a special foam that is both very light and soft. A game inventor named Reyn Guyer created the first nerf game in 1969. He had created an indoor version of volleyball. He took his idea to Parker Brothers and they decided to ditch everything but, the ball. The ball was a huge success. It was sold as being the worlds first official indoor ball. They advertised it as being able to be thrown around inside without hurting anyone or breaking lamps and windows. By the end of 1970 more than 4 million were sold. In 1971 Parker Brothers introduced a larger ball called a Super NERF Ball. In 1972 the NERF basketball game was created and they named it NERFoop. The football was next and it quickly became more popular than the others. Today NERF is owned by Hasbro. And they also make lots of NERF Guns and even NERF Swords.
