g.p. diagnosed breakdown after nursing my mother and watched her die of cancer 9 months ago.12 months prior,my brother committed suicide.am a 41 year old mother to 4 children.feel detached from everything.no motivation or energy.totally empty.tears won't come now.months of crying and sleeplessness,agitation and hyperactivity have now given way to 'nothingness'.

Somebody so close to me is dealing with this condition. The feeling of unbalance like standing or walking in a boat make that person dizzy. Have to see an ENT to rule out ear problem. Thanks for sharing your experience.

To Joan: It has been my experience that it does take some time for the antidepressants to kick in. Make sure you follow your doctor's advice. You really don't want to stop an antidepressant suddenly or it can cause problems. Communicate with your doctor. Don't give up.

iwas depressed and anxiety symptoms have got much worse cant do anything much more severe think i might go mad there seems no end to it all never feel better i am on cipralex 2 weeks does any thing help it does not appear antidepressants make you better ihave tried lots and give up after a while how can they work

I have seen loved ones experience a nervous breakdown as a result of overwhelming stress in their personal life. It's really horrible. The information you provide on this lens is exceptional!
