The Magnificent Tulips of the Netherlands - If my Heart had Wings it Would Take Me Here!
A friend of mine forwarded me some stunning photos of tulips in the Netherlands and I must say, my stress level went down just looking at them.
I've never wanted travel to a place just from looking at the photos, but I have to say, I truly want to attend the Tulip Festival in the Netherlands. I think my heart is aching to do it...just from photos.
So, to get this urge out of me, I've decided to create this web page, featuring the magnificent photo art of Tulip Season in the Netherlands. It won't fill the void of my wanting to go there though! *Sigh*
I hope you enjoy this Art as much as my soul does.

Six Million Tulips at Keukenhof
Keukenhof translates to "Kitchen Garden". They plant approximately seven million flower bulbs each year, making it the largest flower garden in the world.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to work in a garden like this! This kind of gardening may erase all the worries of the day. Can you picture yourself standing in this field surrounded by natural color, and beauty only the Angels can put words too?
According to Wikipedia, Keukenhof Park is open from the last week in March to mid-May and the best time to plan a trip to this park would be the middle of April. I'm writing this in mid april, and it's pouring rain here in Canada, and if I could, I would catch a plane tomorrow!

If you hate to fly, looking at this from the sky just may change your mind! The colors can literally take your breath away; I mean I don't know that from personal experience, but gheesh, just look at that photo!!!
Can you imagine the glorious aroma emitted from these flower fields?
If I had to choose a way to view this, it would be from a hot air balloon.

I plan to sit on the front step and soak in the flowers from morning 'til night. I'll take a few pee breaks, but otherwise will be walking the fields, sipping lemonade and wine!

That's what these flowers say. Our eyes behold the beauty, but we have to let it go, knowing each year it will return so we can hold them in our mind once again.
Where there is beauty, there is life, and to live to see this spectacular display of wonder, once every year, is just another reason to fall in love with this planet.

Keukenhof Gardens, located in an area known as "The Dune and Bulb Region" in South Holland, will wait for me...next year, and the year after.
It's a "Bucket List" destination, for as long as we both shall live.

- Oh this was pure joy! Living in Europe I'm so often dreaming of visiting this divine place. Hope to some day soon. Meantime this lens gave me such beautiful photos and I thank you for that :)
