I've had chronic sinusitis for the last 8 years and have tried everything from Claritin to Flonase and numerous types of antibitoics and sprays. All are non-effective or work only at the beginning. The neti pot does not work well when your sinuses are totally blocked. I usually pop a few Sudafed PE tablets, wait for a bit of decongestion to occure, and then neti. You'll be surprised what comes out of your nose! I only have to do this when I have a cold. Otherwise, I use it daily and my sinuses stay clean and clear.

Nasal irrigation or nasal lavage or nasal douche is the personal hygiene practice in which the nasal cavity is washed to flush out excess mucus and debris from the nose and sinuses.
