Let's talk freedom.
We had set aside enough funds to keep us going for a year while I tried to master working from home. Well, here it is February 2007 and I'm still working from home.
In March 2004, 2005, 2006 and soon to be 2007, we spend 15 glorious days on the island of St. Martin in the French West Indies to reward ourselves.
Working from home is not easy: it's certainly not as easy as a lot of people would have you believe. But it can be done, and it can be quite rewarding.
I'm free to run errands for Beth and, boy, does she like that! You know what they say: if mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. Keeping mama happy is just one bonus of working from home.

Sometimes we limit our brain functions by following the guidelines of everyone else when it comes to marketing.Every once in awhile we should get outside the box and try something new. I was reminded of this recently when my youngest son took off early one morning and drove to an out-of-town Country Club.
But...he didn't take his golf clubs.
He knew there was a 5-acre pond in the middle of the golf course, and he imagined that very few people actually went to a Country Club to fish?!?
Being an avid bass fisherman, he took fishing equipment instead of the golf bag. The photo shows the result of his outside the box thinking.
