The Top 5 Mistakes Made By Experienced Network Marketers

Are you an experienced network marketer that has had some success in the past?

Are you now finding that your network marketing business has slowed down and you are stuck in a rut?

This is very common in the network marketing industry. There are many people who successfully build the business to a certain point and then get stuck.

Here are the top 5 mistakes made by experienced network marketers that contribute to getting stuck at a certain level.

1. No Longer Seeing the Need to Personally Produce

No matter what level you find yourself in the business, there is always a need to personally produce. You may not need to recruit 10-20 recruits a month like you were back in the days, but you still need to constantly introduce new prospects into the organization.

Personally producing is vital for the continued success of a network marketing distributor for many reasons.

First, it keeps you fresh and sharp. When you are actively building the business with a newcomer you are using the strategies and skills of recruiting and building teams. If you aren't, you become stagnant and it affects your effectiveness.

2. Failing to Keep Things Simple

As you become more experienced and successful in the network marketing industry, there is always a temptation to try out new strategies and techniques. However, this urge can cause you to overcomplicate your business if you allow it to.

Your distributors will do what you do. If you are doing things that are complex they will try it and fail. You must keep everything simple so that your newest team members are able to duplicate your methods.

3. Neglecting to Continuously Build the Business

One mistake many leaders make is getting to a point where they are comfortable with the income they are making and then stopping their network marketing business building.

This is a major mistake! There is a certain amount of attrition that takes place in all organizations. If you only build a network marketing organization to the income you want and stop, attrition will eventually dwindle away the income you expected to make.

4. Failing to Communicate With Team Members

This is very common among experienced network marketers. Once your organization grows to a certain size, there is no way you can ever know everybody on your team.

However, that doesn't eliminate the need to communicate with them.

By communicating with your organization, you create the opportunity to inspire your team. There are many people on your team who will only do the right activities if you are there to inspire them and encourage them.

There are also many people on your team who want to build the business but don't know who to go to because their sponsor quit or is not taking the business seriously. These are the people you can help with good communication.

5. Living on Old Newspaper Clippings

Yes, it is fantastic that you are qualifying for the leadership bonus position every month.

However, if you have been at that same position for years and you are never advancing to a higher position, it is a huge sign that you are living on your old newspaper clippings.

You must constantly be aiming higher for new goals, new accomplishments and new positions.

These are the five most common mistakes made by experienced distributors in network marketing. By avoiding these mistakes you will find yourself constantly growing and expanding both in mindset and income in this business.
