The Networkers Club
This is a network marketing opportunity that is designed to help you earn a residual income by helping others SAVE MONEY on a monthly basis with a savings club membership.
Does it really succeed in doing so? Is it a scam? Is it worth jumping in on? Read on to learn.
Is The Networkers Club a Scam?
I don't think there's any sort of intentional scam with The Networkers Club. I think they've put something together that they're hoping people WILL find worth the monthly cost because of the product/service provided.
But as I describe it below, you can determine whether it's really worth the cost. I'll share my thoughts on this throughout the review.
What's the Product?

The Networkers Club gives you access to resources from across the web that help you to find:
* Freebies
* Discounts on travel, restaurants, and even everyday shopping.
* Hard to find tickets for sporting and other events.
* More!
It also includes a media player that gives you access to over 3 million songs in addition to games, YouTube videos, and more. The media player is branded, so that it opens The Networkers Club each time its initially opened on a computer -- so you can give it away to others and remind them that you've invited them to the club.
By April 13, the club was also supposed to have added e-books and software. As of May 6, they still have not, and this is disappointing because I felt that this would offer the most value to this club -- because knowledge is power, and reading the right books often stimulates lucrative ideas for me.
For the sake of those involved, I'm hopeful that the e-books (as was suggested) will include information on growing your own businesses in addition to generally growing as a person. And I've heard that the software will be designed to help you expand your business ventures.
Expected by summer 2009 is a LOCAL BUSINESS DISCOUNT section that will allow you to find local businesses offering savings to members that you would NOT find elsewhere online. This could be a great benefit, but I'm not sure how many businesses will get involved. Since they have to pay for placement, it will probably depend on the number of club members so they can expect a return on their cost, including the discounts offered.
The concept here is nothing like a scam, because it's designed to save you MORE than you spend on access each month while also enjoying other benefits. And of course this depends on you using the system and finding ways to save.
But here's what you need to know:
First, you can find the money-saving resources elsewhere online. If you know where to look, or you want to spend time scouring the web, you can get these savings without the program. And to be honest, I consider them to have many low-quality links included, and I wish that they would take the time to separate the good from the bad on behalf of their members.
Second, you can also get the media player for free without it popping open The Networkers Club every time. Plus, if that pop-up took your prospects to YOUR sign up page, then that would be viral marketing. But it doesn't. It just takes them to The Networkers Club -- so it's great for TNC, but not so much for you.
So the value of the club, in my mind, is that they've pulled links together for your ease of use -- but they haven't made it easy enough, due to the included low-quality links. The other value will be the e-books and software ... if they include good ones and keep adding to the collection over time. Otherwise, there is no CONTINUED value to being a member, once you're aware of the places where you can save money.
If there's no CONTINUED value, then it can make sense to join for one month, see the resources, and quit. At that point, the only reason to stay in is for the business opportunity, which DOES make it a scam. So long-term, we have to see if they keep adding product on a monthly basis. So far, they've been slow to do this.
What's the Cost?
The nice thing about this program is that it's cheap to access, and therefore easy to share with others who want to save money AND earn from the lucrative payout. But again ... I believe they have to pack it with more value than what I'VE found before this can be something you're passionate about sharing. I never got passionate about it because of the lack of content besides the links.Monthly access is just $15 for the program, but there's also a $1 processing fee for a total of $16/month.
What's the Payout?
But if you're looking to hang onto your good name, just make sure that they're adding the value I keep alluding to before you go building a team and trying to earn from this!
Because the program is based on giving you access to a website full of savings and other benefits, the company's only real cost is ONLINE HOSTING.
That means they can sink most of their money into marketing -- and with network marketing, you know that means paying YOU to share the product.
This program pays out $12 of the $16 you spend each month. And it's EASY to understand the payout.
The compensation structure is known as a forced matrix, and in this case, a 3x7 forced matrix. This means that each level beneath you grows by multiples of 3. It ALSO means that YOU are building your team; the people BENEATH you are building your team; and the people ABOVE you are building your team.
Level 1: 3 people
Level 2: 9 people
Level 3: 27 people
Level 4: 81 people
Level 5: 243 people
Level 6: 729 people
Level 7: 2187 people
Again, you grow YOUR team as EVERYONE shares the program. What that means is that your income grows as you, the people who introduced you to the program, and the people you introduce to the program ALL share the Club with others.
As your team grows, you're paid $1 on each person in levels 1 and 2; then $2 on each person in levels 3-7.
Compensation Plan

Never Work, Still Profit
This means that, for your $16/month, you can technically do no work and -- assuming people ABOVE you build your team -- you can earn up to $66/month -- $50 of profit after the cost of the program. So you don't just SAVE money using the program. You can potentially MAKE money just for being part of the club.
Of course that means you're NOT getting paid on levels 4-7. Not until YOU introduce 3 people of your own. Or have your upline help you to achieve this.
The REAL Work and REAL Profit
If they can provide the necessary volume to get you EXCITED to share this with others and you start to do so, then by introducing just 3 other people to the Networkers Club, you're then able to be paid down all 7 levels in your organization. And of course if EVERYONE did this -- if they each shared with just 3 others -- your organization could fill up very quickly. Still, some people won't get others involved, so it usually takes a few active people to really fill out the team.
If you share with 3 people and your entire matrix fills out, you can earn more than $6500 a month for having spent just $16. Is this likely? It all comes back to the same question of value. Because if people aren't finding value, I believe they'll drop out and the team will fall apart as fast as it builds.
This is what I'm seeing so far (May 6, 2009) because of the slow pace on adding to the product. It's possible that this has changed by the time you read this review.
The Better Option
Rather than stay involved with something of questionable value, I'm putting my efforts into programs that help people save money with REAL PRODUCTS.
One that I'm excited to share offers cell phones with leading technology and calls carried by the top providers ... at rates much LOWER than you'll get from those providers. Unlimited calling to the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands starts at just $50/month.

I hope you found this review useful. It's my goal to help people find legitimate home businesses to take part in, and this takes some digging. As an IDEA, The Networkers Club seems like a good idea. But in practice, I think it falls short on value, and I think it better to look elsewhere for something to promote.
