Network Marketing Basics - Where to Start Your Marketing Online

When I first came online to build my network marketing business I didn't have a clue where to begin. I started buying books and reading I read a lot, it was all good but, very difficult to pick out fact from fiction, everybody had an opinion but, it seemed nobody had the answer. I found that even the ones that were successful never completely filled you in on what it was they were doing, maybe it was just me but, I just didn't get it.

I think my biggest problem was my approach to prospecting. I came online with a old school way of doing network marketing, it was more of a street peddler approach. I thought if I pushed my network marketing business in front of enough people I would be successful.

I tried everything they said for me to do I bought leads done the cold calls tried the traffic exchanges I had some results with the traffic exchanges but, I spent way more money than I ever made. My down line all quit because there was no way they could do what I was doing.

I never gave up I knew the answer had to be out there somewhere.

That's when I came across this little google ad I'm not even sure what it said now, it was something about never buying anymore leads. I followed that ad because I was tired of buying leads that didn't work and it changed my life. What I found was one of Ann Sieg's pages for her e-book The Renegade Network Marketer. I was skeptical at first, I had bought so many e-books already and none of them ever really helped me.

I downloaded Ann's free e-book The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing first. I read the whole thing from front to back several times. It was like Ann knew exactly what I was thinking everything she spoke about in that book was talking to me.

Every lie she spoke about was what I had been told to do by my upline. It was not my uplines fault they had been told the same thing by their upline. It is what the Network Marketing industry has been teaching for years.

Ann Sieg's free e-book The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing was the turning point for my business. It is the corner stone for the foundation of my marketing online and it is were I recommend everyone that is trying to build a network marketing business starts.

The 7 Lies e-book opened my eyes and I could finally see where I had been going wrong, but knowing what I did wrong didn't tell me how to do it right.

I already knew about Ann's other book, The Renegade Network Marketer, but even though she gave me all this free information I was still skeptical of getting her book. I had been burned so many times that I thought, here we go again, another scammer trying to get my money.

This led me to do more research. I looked at a few different options and at one point I was contemplating getting Mike Dillard's course Magnetic Sponsoring.

Mike's course cost less than Ann's e-book and it was one of the main reasons I thought of going that route, but being the skeptic I am, I held off and continued my search.

That's when I found the Renegade University. It's free to join so I signed up. I didn't have anything to lose, so why not? I started watching the step by step videos Mike Klingler set up and I can't begin to tell you how excited I got. From the very first one I knew I had found what I was looking for.

I bought Ann Sieg's book The Renegade Network Marketer in step 1. It's the course book the university uses and I haven't regretted it to this day.
