Have you experienced a slump in your Network Marketing business lately?

I know a lot of people who have. The current economy has touched us all. Let's face it. We have a problem. And it seems the first thing to go is 'the business'. Why is that? Why should we be giving up on the one thing that could actually put us back on track?

Still using traditional marketing?

Perhaps it's because many are still trying to use traditional network marketing methods that simply don't work in today's world. These 'tried and true' methods have been around for years, and, though the words sound good and it makes sense on paper, the harsh reality is that is just doesn't work anymore. I read a most informative e-book called, 'The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing' by Ann Sieg. She addresses this very issue by walking through seven of the old school MLM teachings and explains why they don't work anymore.

What is your time worth?

The time factor alone is enough to put away just about any traditional network marketing business. You give information to someone. Great. That's a start. But then, just try to get them to look at it. How many times have you called someone to follow up and they haven't looked at your information yet? Or, even if they have - how many calls do you have to make, how many messages do you leave before you reach them? How long does it take to actually pin them down for a time or date? Multiply that by all the other people you are working with. Is it any wonder so many get discouraged and quit?

Then, there's the money investment factor. How many dollars have you invested in your MLM training to make it go? Granted, much of what you invest in your business is also an investment in your personal growth - which is always a good thing. But, when there is little or no income coming in as a result of all your efforts, it becomes a problem.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

It's time for something to change. I have heard the old saying, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'. Well, guess what? It's broke and it's time to fix it. We live in a changing world with very different demands and we need to address them.

There's another way to do business.
