Network Marketing - Lead Generation Strategy That Works
Let's just say it like it is. "Our multi-level marketing business will not exist without leads".
Period!
Having a network marketing lead generation strategy that works, means realizing that a long-term relationship will need to be established with each new lead or customer.
This is begun at the point of first contact with them through the process of developing this relationship, to the culmination of a "sale", and it has everything to do with how that relationship is begun and how it is expanded through trust and a recognized mutual value for both "buyer and seller".
This relationship takes time.
Lots of it, especially when using the "traditional" marketing methods that are based on the "old school" hard-sell tactics, still believed in and taught by industry pundits as the "right way".
There is a much better way of prospecting!
Through this lens, we will be looking at a network marketing lead generation strategy that will automate some of the prospecting tasks for you, pre-qualify your new contacts as to their real viability for your business AND generate some income as you build your business.

The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing - Traditional Marketing Techniques Exposed
The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing?Awww! Come on Ann!
Surely you can't believe an industry that holds out so much promise for ordinary people like you and me, to achieve real financial success, and has done just that for a lot of them, is based on a pack of lies??
This rather bold proclamation chosen by Ann Sieg as her book title, at first glance seems too bold to be believable, but,
Wait a minute!
I remember reading in this book, Ann's statements about prospecting," total strangers at malls, Red Lobster waitresses"
Uhhhh, I've done that myself!
Right before getting a copy of The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing, My wife and I were at our local Red lobster, trying to do the exact same thing Ann Sieg described.(gasp!)
Here we were in a jam-packed restaurant, being served by a very congenial and capable waitress, who was extremely busy all the while we were there. I remembered remarking to my wife that "she'd make a good team member with her work ethic". (smile)
So, using our "Everyone is a Prospect" technique, we nudged our conversation with her toward finding out if she really liked her job (real detectives we were). Of course, like a lot of waitresses, she didn't really like it that much, but she had bills to pay, don't we all?
On the conversations went, little snippets here and there until we made it through the entire meal, and the only thing that prevented us from trying to cagily present our "opportunity" to her was the fact that the place was absolutely packed and she was so busy. As bold as I was, I just couldn't find a place in a conversation to even briefly mention our business opportunity to her.
We left there that night - stomachs full, but frustrated in our attempts to recruit, and feeling a little empty at not being successful at it.
Comparing these methods of recruiting to a "Street Hustler", as Ann had done in her book, might have seemed a little over-dramatic to prove a point or promote a book.
But, we were "busted", caught using the exact same low-life method of prospecting she had already written about! But lies??
As I continued reading through this 35-page book, Ann made another statement that caused me to pause and think back to some previous training I'd had in one of those Saturday morning training classes with a previous network marketing business.
It concerned Positioning. You don't want to prospect anyone by "chasing" them - you'll only be seen as a nuisance. Position them to approach you first about your business.
I remember my previous training, by a vice-president of my up-line, on how to properly position yourself when answering a prospect's objections about the business.
It involved positioning yourself in the conversation by answering the objection, then WFTA (Wait For The Answer), and wait and wait and wait, until the uncomfortable waiting forced the prospect to say something, because the sales rule is, "whoever speaks next loses", meaning you then have the psychological sales advantage or "position" over the prospect.
Did this tactic work very well? Not really, because most of us were not the seasoned sales veterans, that our trainers were. Most of us had been involved with another career for years before signing on with this mlm business, and most hadn't actually hired a new recruit except with the help of our up-line.
Yet we were told that anyone can do this.
As I continued to read on to the end of this report, one by one of the incorrect, misguided beliefs I had been taught throughout my network marketing experience, was exposed by Ann Sieg's 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing.
I, many others and maybe you too, have simply been misled in so many ways about correct network marketing techniques.
This book is a real eye-opener in revealing the extent of how these misconceptions, myths or downright lies, have made a big mess of what should be a very successful, dynamic industry.
Some Great Network Marketing Reading
Knowledge really is power, and especially in network marketing, it empowers us to succeed. One or all these books, may be what will put you "over the top".
There are other resources I know of that are good ones too. If you find a favorite of yours here, would you take a couple seconds and cast your vote? If you have a particular favorite, that's not on my list, go ahead and add it too. I'll consider it "knowledge gained".
The Renegade System - MLM Success
Network Marketing Lead Generation Strategy -The New System
The Renegade Network Marketer, a 143 page comprehensive manual of the network marketing industry, was introduced by Ann Sieg in 2007.Culminating her years of frustrating personal experiences in faithfully applying the mlm principles she had been taught, Ann's decidedly new way approach to the multi-level marketing business she teaches in this manual, has either been vehemently rejected by the "old-schoolers" or eagerly welcomed by those who shared her frustrations with the old standards of the industry.
Statistically, the vast majority of people who start a network business fail and pretty quickly, usually within 3 months or so of starting.
Would it be an overstatement to say that this has left a huge hungry mob of people out there, who would probably jump at the opportunity to learn and use a marketing system that's easy to understand and implement, and will at last really help them succeed in the network marketing business?
The many testimonial letters she's received from those who've tried her Renegade Network Marketer and who, for once in their life have actually seen an income and success in building their mlm businesses, attest to the fact that - this new system does work.
Here are just a few of the mlm teachings that Ann covers, comparing the old with the new ways of thinking:
- How should we be looking at our multi-level marketing business?
Is it really sharing, as we've been taught previously?
Or is it selling?
Why is it important to know the difference?
- Are people really interested in hearing what you have to say about your favorite network marketing business?
If you've really worked your mlm business, you already know the answer to that one.
Hearing Ann's answer (discussed in detail in the manual) will shed some light on why we experience such a high-percentage of rejection in this business.
- Just what are we selling with our mlm business opportunity?
Is it detergent, air purifiers, or vitamins?
Well of course the product line of our favorite mlm company is important. It must have value and a renewable need is even better.
But that doesn't address the real reason why anyone would want to consider joining you in your network marketing business.
The Renegade Network Marketer manual thoroughly covers this aspect of network marketing, or any type marketing for that matter, and helps us get our thinking set straight.
This manual is much more than just a book of what to do or what not to do ideas about this subject. It combines a source of knowledge with a system to help us implement that knowledge, and that's what sets this book apart from the way much of the information floating around the internet is presented.
Ann Sieg is not only very knowledgeable about the network marketing industry, but she is passionate about it too. Like so many of us, she sees the real potential this industry has to give us the financial and time freedom so many of us intensely desire.
With The Renegade Network Marketer we're now offered a real chance to experience Network Marketing Success!

Lead Generation - The Lazy Way
A Closer Look At An Automated Lead Generation System
Well, I did just last week.
Now, my first impulse was to just hit the "delete" button and go on, but the more I thought about it, the more writing an article seemed appropriate.
Starting up a new on-line business of any kind must be done with precision these days, and especially so for an on-line network marketing business. Success demands adherence with at least a few basic tenets of lead generation.
As I've addressed in several of my blog posts, once we determine what our target market is, we have to find prospects who are capable of being assets to our network organization (qualified leads), and then we need to apply these business-building basics while keeping within the rather meager budget constraints of most beginning network marketers.
Put very simply - we'd better be "smart marketers", if we're to be counted in the two or three percent that make it in this business.
The "pitch" contained in this e-mail was for membership in an automated phone dialing club. Following the link to the landing page (sales page), I was presented with the features of the system, which are touted to bring "loads of cash" into my pockets.
The sales page was replete with all the buzz word phrases designed to make the reader recognize the failures of traditional sales techniques, and instead offered success with a "Lazy Way to Lead Generation" by joining their membership, all for a "few measly bucks a month", which by the way is $99.
Throughout the sales pitch, was the implication that this system is the best way of generating leads and will make you tons of money to boot!
Oh, did I mention the source of leads they recommend loading into the phone auto-dialer is from "business opp. leads" or "you can supply your own"? The entire spiel ignored the necessity of getting qualified leads to begin with.
Even if one were to use qualified leads to plug into this system, using automated voice recordings on the phone dialer...
Hmmm...
Have you ever gotten an automated phone sales call?
Did you stick around to hear the complete sales pitch?
It was fairly obvious the membership product program offered in this e-mail and sales page was not going to be effective in helping a network marketing entrepreneur grow their business. In fact, it was down right insulting!
But beware!
Not everything we get through our "in-box" will be as obviously out-of-touch with our business needs.
Folks, there is no such thing as getting something for next to nothing, as implied by this sales pitch. Running your own on-line network marketing business involves lots of hard work, expenditure of capital and wisdom at applying both.
I've put my business lead generation investment in The Renegade System, which I've talked about in another article. It is a no-nonsense system that maximizes my efforts and my money, and does a lot better job of producing true qualified leads than some phone auto-dialer scheme.

How powerful is your network marketing machine?
Leads - Should You Generate Your Own?
One detail of our network marketing plan that cannot be overlooked, is the fact that we must have a constant supply of fresh prospects (leads) targeted to our mlm business opportunity. So, if we've decided to get our mlm leads from a lead generation company, we would be wise to do some serious on-line research for what is available. The variety of leads is somewhat akin to the inventory we would find in a shoe store (size, style, color, material composition).
Here are just a few considerations to keep in mind as you proceed with your on-line investigation.
- Targeted Leads - Lead generation companies are in the business of collecting leads for resale - the more and the quicker for them, the better for their business. While they do offer a selection of leads based on the amount of information collected on each lead, we have to assume the leads were probably not collected in as highly a targeted manner as we would really prefer for our individual business.
- Worn Out Leads - In all fairness to the lead generation companies out there, they do offer a needed service of supplying leads to many industries, including network marketing, but until we actually find out from experience working with a company, do we really know they only "sell their lists twice"? Unfortunately, we'll have to make the calls from the leads list before we can know for sure.
- Real-time Leads - This common term used in the leads generation business simply means the freshest of leads. This is a very important consideration if we have a higher-end mlm business opportunity. We've just made a considerable investment in this business and it's important to generate a revenue stream from that investment as quickly as possible, so we need the best quality leads we can get, as quickly as possible. Nothing is more encouraging to the network marketer than having an excellent response to our calls.
For many though, the concepts taught by Ann Sieg - The Renegade Marketer, give the network marketer much more control in the quality and responsiveness of the leads they generate through their own lead generation strategy.
Relationship building has already begun through the lead generation process, plus once the system is setup, her system is a lot more cost effective than paying $4.00 or more per lead for good leads from a lead generation company.
