I am involved with health and wellness products that I am truly passionate about. I use it, my family and friends use it, and we've all seen the benefits. If you don't love what you are promoting or don't believe in it, you will not get anyone else to either.
Many network marketing opportunities are team-based. Get on a team that is out to help you succeed. Nothing would make me happier for someone I am working with to do better than me. Make sure your sponsor can offer you the time and resources necessary for you to achieve your goals.
Set realistic goals. Don't believe those that say you can make X amount of dollars in a short amount of time. Network marketing is a self-paced industry: you can go as fast or as slow as you want. How quickly you make money, and enough to reach your goals, is completely up to you! Once you set your goals, make a plan as to how you will achieve them.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, do not push yourself onto people. I am fortunate that in my business what I promote is advertised online and people come to me for help in making money. Try to read people to determine what kind of sales approach they are interested in. Know when to answer questions or concerns and take a step back if the prospect is not immediately on board with what you are offering.
