Creating a niche is no small task. It's doing your market research and honing in on your perfect prospect. For some, they will never do it. They know they should but, alas, they won't. It would be too much work. And they go keep trying until, one day in the not too distant future, they quit.

But for those who take the time to research their market and identify their perfect prospect the opportunity to get rich in a niche becomes a reality. It becomes life changing. It becomes a game changer.

Here are 3 hugely important questions that one must ask themselves when identifying a target, or niche, market.

1. Who is Your Market? Some will say "It's everyone!" and use the shotgun approach to marketing. Uh, they won't last very long. They believe that their product or service is for everyone so therefore they should target everyone. Sound familiar? They soon run out of gas trying to talk to everyone and giving the same story. What they are failing to recognize is that the "same" story doesn't work for those who don't want to hear it.

So who is your market and how do you define them? Are they older or younger? Are they between the ages of 18 to 24 or baby boomers? Are they male or female? Stay at home moms or wannabe stay at home moms. The more you can define your market the better defined your niche will be. Who is your best customer? Create a profile of them and create your marketing for that profile.

2. What does your customer want? Can you provide the solution for them? What is their "pain" and what do you have for that "pain". The only reason someone goes on the internet is to get information. Will your information help them?

3. How do they want it delivered? Will it be an email exchange? Phone call? Or download a pdf? Sometimes the delivery is more important than the actual product or service. Your perfect prospect wants to know that you understand their "pain" and have walked the proverbial "mile in their shoes".

So to sum it up:

Create the perfect prospect file.
Target your marketing at that perfect prospect.
Deliver the goods. Give them a solution to their "pain".
