Symbols of the Wild, Wild West
One of the saddest things about living in Nevada is driving by the pens where they keep the mustangs after they've been rounded up. There can't be a life more dull than being penned up in a dusty, barren field after roaming through sage country.
This year the Department of Agriculture announced plans to start monitoring the wild horses of the Virginia Range, which would include reducing the herd's size if warrented.
This lens will point the way to efforts to protect the wild horses of Nevada (and the United States) from being destroyed.

No go!
Not a single image of wild horses wandering around the wild, wild West.
That can't possibly be because there are no mustangs wandering around in National Parks. After all, mustangs don't know where BLM land ends and NPS land begins.
It got me wondering if USFWS employees just think of these lovely creatures as pests to be dealt with?

- I've always loved horses. When younger I used to sketch them. I'd watch them for hours. I rode too. I'd love to see the wild ones. Maybe some day ... hope they're still around. 5*s from someone who cares.
