Quick tips
Shadowraze is an amazing nuke early in a match. You can use it to destroy creeps as well from a safe distance. Timed well you'll be able to hit the enemy as they move in to attack, as they attack, and as they turn to flee. It's a bit mana-intensive so you might want to grab an item to boost it for the first few levels.Don't worry about Nevermore's aura too much. It gives your hero away on the map and that can be quite dangerous. The damage bonus it provides is only useful later in the match: it's a percentage reduction to enemy armor This amounts to maybe 2 or 3 a swing at first, but can be devastating later when you need brute force to win battles.

- Never is an awesome carry that can change the result of the game only farming. He has a great power in teamfights unlike other carries like Mortred, Traxex or even Mirana. All them can't be compared with Nevermore in a teamfight.

Item build
The only item I really recommend on this hero is either a lothar or kelen dagger. EIther of these weapons will allow you to get up close and personal with the other team's heroes. This lets you use your ultimate Requiem of Souls with Nevermore at full effect. They can't run away fast enough before you are done casting. However, against stunning heroes, you may want to try going with a DPS build.
Some people like to make a Nevermore build that skips regeneration and try to dominate enemies immediately at the start of the game. Others just like to play normally.

This ability triggers in the direction your Shadow Fiend is facing.
Area of effect: 250.
Casting range: 200, 450, 700.
Cooldown: 10 seconds. Each range is independent.
Damage: 75 / 150 / 225 / 300.
DotA damage type: Magical.

Passive: Aura.
Reduces armor level of opponents near Nevermore.
DotA aura range: 900.
Enemy units are alerted when Nevermore is nearby.
Fully stacks with other armor reduction abilities and auras.
Lowers armor by 2 / 3 / 4 / 5.

Raises damage based on number of Nevermore's recent kills.
Damage bonus: 16 / 30 / 46 / 60.
This is halved if Nevermore dies in dota.
Affects how powerful his ultimate skill is.

Requiem of Souls
R: Ultimate nuke.
Does large damage based on number of recent kills (necro mastery). This skill of Nevermore also slows anyone caught near him afterwards.
The damage done is based on the number of lines that hit a unit.
Closer uses are hit by more lines of spirit energy.
There are up to 15, one for every 2 souls stored through Necromastery.
Each spirit reduces enemy attack and movement speed.
There is a 1 second timer before the Nevermore ultimate ability activates.
Cooldown: 2 minutes.
Area of effect: 1425.
