Electro House Music

You had have been living under a rock of you have not yet heard Electro House! This genre is the single most popular sub-genre from house. This style of house alone has exploded to reach all of the clubs world wide. In less than ten years it is the only dance style music that reached the same popularity as of 1970's old school (at this point) disco. That moment seems like a irreplaceable piece of history, doesn't it? Well if you look around you will realize that we are making history right now! The style of music is popular in TV shows as well as commercials. It doesn't end there though. Even on xm radio Electro House has it's own dedicated station. More and more remixes of hip hop songs hit the clubs after they've been remixed with this style. Club junkies have accepted this style to heart around the world.

So where did it all begin? That is actually a good question as with most music history, it isn't certain. Everyone wants to claim the fame, but no one can be certain. Fortunately, there is one clear mark in history. It was in the early 2000s when a big movement of electroclash being mixed with synth pop. At the same time tech house was gaining popularity. With the right things happening at the right times, the two came together. Electro clash and tech house that is. Just to clear things up, electro clash is smooth melodic sounds that are mellow and pleasant to the ear while tech house has a more rigid up beat tempo and is more irregular based. Though this combination doesn't seem exactly possible or revolutionary, it sure brought hoop load of attention upon it self.

Even though there probably had been many other artist experimenting with this genre, the first artist that hit mainstream with Electro House was Benny Benassi. His singe "Satisfaction" has been heard by everyone. He directly incorporated both electroclash and tech house together very successfully. The song was both melodic and catchy and that's the main reason why it received so much attention. It won world wide rewards as well as make Benny Benassi the father of Electro House. Soon after this hit many more artist with this style emerged as well. Artist such as David Guetta, Bodyrox, and LMFAO all began to incorporate elector house genre into their music. Unexpectedly, artist such as Public Enemy and even Kid Kudi also had put out some remixes of their songs in electro house style as well.
