By forcing you to condense your thoughts into 3 lines, Haiku must be very challenging to write. It is a truly interesting form of expresssion.

Very lovely lens. I have enjoyed Haiku for many years and appreciate the depth of just a few lines. Haiku can also be hilarious, as in this Microsoft error message that always makes me laugh:

    With searching comes loss
    And the presence of absence:
    "My novel" not found.

thnks for dropping by my lens:))
  • haikuwedding Jun 24, 2011 @ 11:01 am | delete
Yes, the term "haiku" is a "form of Japanese poetry that states in three lines of five, seven and five morae (sound/syllable/word) a clear picture designed to arouse a distinct emotion and suggest a specific spiritual insight. - adapted from LITERATURE HANDBOOK by Holman.

I'm a huge fan of poetry, especially limericks. That's probably because of my both innocent yet mischevious nature. This is my first introduction into Haiku, but what interests me about it is the tradition and ancient wisdom that is invaluable even today. Great lense, and thank you for stopping by my lense.
