Open Auditions for New Moon?!

Aikins/Cossey is seeking Native American actors between 15 and 25 years of age in three B.C. casting calls in Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna. Candidates will receive scripts and be asked return the same day to read for a part.

Here are the audition locations. Break a leg!

Victoria: Feb. 7, Paul's Motor Inn, 1900 Douglas St., 9 a.m. to noon
Vancouver: Feb.8, Second Avenue Studios, 225 W. 2nd Ave., 9 a.m. to noon
Kelowna: Feb. 8, Delta Grand Okanagan, 1310 Water St., 9 a.m. to noon

Will Dakota Fanning play vampire Jane?

as of January 21, 2009, maybe...

Jane is described as a petite blonde with a "Botticelli angel-like face." While fellow Volturi guards Demetri & Felix "are three times the size of her, they are terrified of her," the casting notice reads.

Well, it's possible. Dakota will be 15 on February 23, and she is pretty and petite. Do you think she'd be a good fit as Jane, one of the very scary Volturi? Leave a comment below if you want to talk about it.

Taylor Lautner will return as Jacob Black

he's getting buff for the role

A statement from director Chris Weitz, following the weeks of speculation that a different actor might be cast to take over the role of Jacob:

I'm very happy to announce that Taylor Lautner will be playing Jacob Black in New Moon and that he's doing so with the enthusiastic support of Summit Entertainment, the producers, and Stephenie Meyer.

The characters in Stephenie's books go through extraordinary changes of circumstance and also appearance; so it is not surprising that there has been speculation about whether the same actor would portray a character who changes in so many surprising ways throughout the series. But it was my first instinct that Taylor was, is, and should be Jacob, and that the books would be best served by the actor who is emotionally right for the part. I think that fans of Twilight the book and the movie will be surprised by the Jacob Black that Taylor will bring to the screen in New Moon; and I'm looking forward to working with him and the rest of the cast in realizing the film.

    I liked New Moon better than Twilight, that goes for the book as well. I want to see it again and I am anxious to see how the last movies in the series turn out. Great lens.

    Esta pelicula tiene que estar wapisima!!!!!!!
    si el libro ya es alucinante imaginaos con la peli, me muero de ganas de k la saquen y poder verla de una vez. Es la mejor novela k he leido nunca y tambien son las mejores peliculas, aunque todavia solo hay una.
    son todos tan maravillosos k no me canso nunca de ellos.
