Olympus Digital SLR Cameras
Olympus is one of the giants of the photographic industry with a long history of innovation and creativity in consumer imaging products with many design awards conferred on design excellence both in Japan and abroad. Olympus was established on October 12, 1919 initially specializing in microscope and thermometer businesses.
Olympus continued this tradition through the development of camera lenses, starting in 1934 and two years later the Zuiko lens was born. Zuiko lenses were used in the Semi-Olympus and the Olympus-Six, as well as in the Olympus Reflex 2-lens reflex camera, laying the foundations of its future role as a camera manufacturer.
