New Relationship Tip and Advice #1
Keep the Attraction Going
While I was in college, our campus pastor told us one particular piece of advice in regard to a new relationship that I haven't forgotten. He said "how you get them, is how you have to keep them." This is probably the most important advice for a new relationship that you will ever need. Esentially what you have to keep in mind is that what you did to attract that special someone is the same type of behavior you have to maintain in order to keep that person in your life? Sounds deceptively easy huh? You would be surprised how many people fail to learn how to create and maintain attraction in a relationship and eventually end up losing the person that they loved and don't have the slightest idea why. Openness, not Transparency
The second crucial piece of advice for a new relationship you need to keep in mind is to be open and honest with the other person. But there is a difference between being honest and being completely transparent. Being honest with someone simply means that you tell them how you feel about something without any pretense. This can be either about any given subject, hobby, or even how you feel about the other person (though I don't recommend this last part until you are in a committed relationship as confessing your feelings too early can kill attraction) Transparency basically means that the other person can see right through what you are saying. For example telling a girl you think she's gorgeous and yet it's obvious by your demeanor and actions that you just want to get her in bed and so you'll say anything to achieve that. Honesty and openness are cruicial to a new relationship and is advice that would be well worth heeding. On the other hand there is something to be said for maintaining an element of mystery about yourself which goes a long way to sustaining attraction. Best New Relationship Advice!
Have fun!
A realationship should never be entered into out of obligation. Trust me. I have been in situations where the only reason I talked to a girl as much as I did was because if for some reason I didn't feel like it (a warning sign) then she would get pissed off. Eventually I realized that I didn't really want to be in it but was because I felt like I wouldn't have another chance and stayed in it out of obligation to her feelings and not because I wanted to. A relationship, while hard work, isn't supposed to be miserable. The best advice I can give you for your new relationship is just to relax and have fun. You have plenty of time to get to know the other person and develop a bond with them. Talk to the other person and get to know them as best as you can.
