    Still do :) I am a child of the 80s so I cannot say that I really experienced them at the time but I grew to appreciate them more and more over the past decade or so. Spandau Ballet are actually one of my favourites.

    Interesting! I was a big fan of the Ants, as well as Tenpole Tudor and Men Without Hats. Thanks for some fascinating insights.

    Great lens! I was such a huge fan of all these bands in the 80s, but I never heard of the Blitz Kidz.

    I have to admit that I did don the frilly shirt and eyeshadow on more than one occasion during my youth. Dancing and singing away to Visage and the Human league was also a regular event in my bedroom. Truth-be-know I would love it if the New Romantics were to come back into fashion, although my daughters may possibly object to my full committment :)

    I go through phases but the New Romantics period has a spot in my heart for sure. I love Spandau Ballet.

    Of course! I loved Adam and the Ants, Duran Duran, Culture Club and Spandau Ballet. This lens brings back great memories!

    Absolutely. I grew up with their music. True by Spandau Ballet is one of my all time favourites. My claim to fame is that I work in Sheffield UK where The Human League came from. I worked with students on a campus site on Psalter Lane and there is a plaque commemorating their first gig in that building.

    Well, Bow Wow Wow was one of my favorite bands, ever! <3

    (On recording, anyway. My understanding is that they sucked, live. I can live with that.)

    I discovered them after they'd broken up, however. I understand that they grew from punk. But punk would've hung them from the nearest tree! Too synthy! & wayyyyyy too interested in their glamorous image. McLaren got enough Anarchic philosophy into their lyrics, though. But this was no 3 chord rock group playing out of its garage! (They did do everything possible to make their videos visually funky, however.)

    I really enjoyed them. Fav songs: CHIHUAHUA, W.O.R.K., their fine version of the ballad FOOLS RUSH IN, & LOUIS XIV! I was thrilled when I discovered their songs on the MARIE ANTOINETTE soundtrack! Yay! :D

    I was a complete and total freak of a fan of the New Romantic movement. Couldn't have been more in love with Duran Duran, Culure Club, Spandeau Ballet, Visage, Human League, Thompson Twins, ABC!
