Top 3 Legitiamte Business Opportunities

Everyone wants to find a legitimate, home based opportunity these days with the cost of gas and foods at all time highs, and wages at all time lows, it just makes sense. The interenet proved to be full of opportunities, but as most of us saw, most were nothing more than schemes and outright scams. We've seen it all, from stuffing envelopes to taking surveys... It would be great if you could do something at home or the internet and replace your income, even exceed it.

Personally, I have tried more programs than I care to admit to, from the late night TV ones to random programs found on the net. During this search, there were basically 3 real opportunities, ones that people actually made money doing, not just the author of the program.

The first one is probably the most known one out there: Real Estate Investing.

Real Estate Investing as a business usually means you gain control of a property for as little money as possible, by having the home owner deed you the house subject to existing financing or getting a purchase agreement and trying to sell this right to another buyer, either investor or retail, for profit. This can be very lucrative, but there is a huge learning curve to properly valuing and inspecting the properties, as well has having networked around and build a buyers list to market to. Also, mistakes can be pretty significant as you can imagine, faulty foundation, wiring, or property code can cost out your profit very quickly.

The second business opportunity is Day Trading Stocks and Commodities. This was a common business during the tech boom several years ago, as many quit their jobs and trading the markets full time. As it has been said, this is a simple business, but not an easy one. All you're really doing is hitting 'Buy' or 'Sell'. Its the timing of those two actions that is difficult. While this can be a very lucrative business, it has a very long learning curve to figure out and become consistently profitable. Plus, since so many day traders went bust during the tech deflation, regulators enacted the pattern day trading rules requiring an account balance of at least $25,000 to day trade the stock markets.

Finally the third work at home business, Internet Marketing. This is pretty self explanatory, as you sell a product electronically through your website or affiliate link. The costs are much lower than if you opened up a brick and mortar store, and it can run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you find a good company to work with, they will usually have proven sales pages and order mechanisms all pre made for you. All that's left is to market the site and get visitors to your page. This can be difficult (and expensive) for a beginner, that's why its always good to find a company that has a good training and support system to teach you the best and most cost effective ways to market.

Out of the three opportunities reviewed, I found internet marketing is the best leverage of time and a business where a complete beginner can "plug" in and be profitable their first few months, something that is just unrealistic with the other business opportunities.
