Goal Setting for the New Year
Goal setting is the only way to track your accomplishments and set up a game plan. Where do you want to go? Who do you want to become?
Is this the year you will ride a horse for the first time or snow ski? Set a goal to do something wonderful in the new year! Writing the goal and making a plan gives you a head start!
And remember to teach your children to set goals also!
Art by Andy Dooley.
Gather Your Goal Setting Supplies
Plan your goal setting time!
Add a few of your favorite magazines.
Don't forget magic markers and highlighters.
Create a list of questions to answer like - Where would I like to be next December when I sit down to do my goals again?
Goal Setting is Fun!
Set aside a special time for this project - so that you do not feel rushed and can enjoy!
Pop some popcorn or make a pot of coffee. Treat yourself!
Goals or Resolutions?
Will you set goals on New Year's or New Year's Resolutions?

ElizabethJeanAllen says:
I set goals and make resolutions. Goals, if I really want it, I can and will do. Resolutions are another story. I make them but I rarely reach them. This year I'm not making any resolutions but I'm setting several goals.

monarch13 says:
I take stock twice a year; at the New Year and my birthday (in June), then I decide what changes I need to make in my life to accomplish my goals and dreams.

Make Resolutions
Margo_Arrowsmith says:
Oh, yes, but I will do them as affirmations, not what I will (or won't) do, but rather what I have done! That works for both goals and resolutions.

- I'm setting goals. Some have to do with writing and Squidoo, others are of a more personal level.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
