I gave up making resolutions along time ago.

I do both. I tend to be sparing with resolutions and flexible with goals!

Nope, don't set goals or make resolutions but am thinking about starting a gratitude journal. Nice lens, angel blessed.

I'm setting goals. Some have to do with writing and Squidoo, others are of a more personal level.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    Great Lens!

Many people are so confused that they don't know what, where, when, and how to start attaining their dreams in life.

The question remains: "How do I go about achieving my goals?"

The most important thing to do before setting a goal is to develop the proper mindset. By conditioning your thoughts to the direction of your goals, you will be able to eliminate all obstacles that come in your way and you will be able to achieve all your goals in spite of the pending challenges ahead.

You will realize your goals if you are bold enough to come out of your comfort zone and if you maintain that laser-like focus despite people telling you that you can never attain them.

Neither, prefer to set intentions and generally do that on my own birthday each year...reveiw them regularly and certainly at the beginning of a new calendar year, but MY year starts on my birthday. More realistic for me and also as a life-long teacher, I will always think of a new year starting when school starts (which is near my birthday) rather than in January. Like this lens. 5*s!

I set goals all the time and I find that it really helps. I agree that it is important to encourage your children to set goals too.

I'm a goal-setting addict, so I don't usually wait for New Year's to make them. (Although I do that too!) If I don't have a goal I'm working towards, I feel a bit lost, actually. Aimless. So I'm definitely favoriting and 5*ing this one. A subject near and dear to my goal-setting, list-making heart.

Another great lens and this is definitely your area of expertise. You have had your family making their New Year's Goals and Resolutions since the children were small.

5* Joan! My New Year's Resolution is not to make a resolution! I figure that as most people break them I might as well break mine to begin with rather than keep it and break it mid-year!

Cool lens! I like to set intentions or goals for the year. I don't always do them at the New Year, but that is a great time.
