Stuffed Yourself Too Much?

The Holidays can be a very joyous time for many people. With gatherings and lots of food to eat, many people feel it's time to loosen up a little and indulge in some foods that they wouldn't normally eat.

Then comes the new year. That's when most people start kicking themselves for eating too much. But, don't worry. If you are one of those people, there are some simple steps that you can take to lose that unwanted weight easily and quickly.

New Year Weight Loss Tips - 5 Easy Ways To Lose The Holiday Budge!

So, you've made losing weight your new year's resolution. Great! You might be thinking to yourself, "Where do I start?" You might not have the time to go to a gym or spend a hour or more working out. These helpful tips will get you on your way to the ideal body that you want.

Walking And Weight Loss - Walk Off Those Pounds!

You might be wondering, "Can walking really help me lose weight?" and the answer is yes it can. Researchers at the University of Colorado at Boulder came to the conclusion that walking at a slow 2 mph burns more calories than say walking at a faster pace.

They also said that walking at a slower pace also is easier on the joints. In fact, walking at a slower pace reduces the stress in the knees by 25%. So, walking is a very good exercise to do if you have a lot of knee problems.

The only drawback to walking is that it doesn't give enough aerobic training to raise the heart rate. You could other low impact exercises to you routine such as swimming or using elliptical training workouts to raise your heart rate to maximize your workout.

Fat Loss 4 Idiots
FOOD is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills, because the FOOD that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT. You don't get fat because of a lack of exercising, that's a myth. You get fat because you don't eat the right foods at the right intervals each day.

Also, the pattern that you choose to eat your meals each day is more powerful than any prescription weight loss pills. This is true because your body is like an "engine" and it only needs certain foods at certain intervals each day, and if you don't eat the right foods at the right times then it won't burn those calories -- and you'll wind up storing those calories as fat tissue. (Hint:You need to eat more than 3 times per day to lose weight...
Truth About 6 pack abs
Think about this... if what you've been doing all these years hasn't been getting you the results you want, doing more of that same thing won't get you any further! If doing 4 hours of cardio a week hasn't worked for you, why do you believe that doing 7 hours of cardio will?

The truth is that all of these techniques are WRONG and ineffective ways to workout. In fact, doing excessive cardio is actually working against your results because you are stimulating excessive cortisol production in your body and breaking down lean muscle tissue... all of which leads to the slowing down of your metabolic rate over time and deposition of even more belly fat on top of what you already have...

Sleep and Weight Loss - A Good Night's Sleep= A Lighter You!

If you don't have the time to go walking, here is one thing everybody does on a regular basis, sleep.

Getting a good night's rest can help you burn some of the extra calories away. Studies have shown that people that do not get enough sleep tend to be hungrier and their body's metabolism usually has difficult time maintaining or losing weight.

So, what can you do?

1. Eat about 3 hours before you go to bed. Eating right before you go to bed tends to slow down your metabolism, thus storing the extra calories that aren't being burnt off.

2. Find something relaxing to do and make it a habit of doing it before you go to bed. For example, taking a warm bath or reading will help calm and relax you making it easier for you to sleep.

3. Try to avoid caffeine, cigarettes, and alcohol before you go to sleep. These stimulants can actually disrupt your sleep, making it hard for you to fall asleep and stay asleep.

4. Get into the routine of exercising regularly. If you do exercise make sure you do it at least 3 hours before you go to bed.

If you do these few steps, this will help you lose that holiday weight while feeling more refreshed when you wake up the next morning.

Trick Yourself Into Exercising

This tip is an easy one that anyone can do. When you go shopping or go to work park on the far side of the parking lot. This extra bit of walking can help you burn those extra pounds.

If your work has stairs, take them instead of the elevator. If you have bad knees though, take it slow. Nobody is going to try and race you so it begins to become painful, lay off the stairs for a bit.

Eat Smaller Portions Throughout The Day

Just as the title implies, eating smaller portions throughout the day will help boost your metabolism which means that your body will burn calories faster making you lose weight.

When you plan out your meals and snacks make sure they are healthy choices like fruits, veggies, and other healthy foods.

Along with eating smaller portions, drinking lots of water will help make you feel full while cleaning out your system.

Hiding The Snacks

Just like the old saying goes, "Out of sight, out of mind" hiding your temptations will help ease the urge to overindulge. You can still have and enjoy the foods you like to eat, but make sure you put them away and keep the more healthy snacks in view.

Fasting To Lose Weight

What is fasting? Some fast to "cleanse" their bodies and others fast as a way to lose weight quickly. If done longer than a few days fasting to lose weight can be a hazard to your health.

Is fasting healthy? You need to consume protein for body's needs. There is no scientific evidence that fasting detoxes the body. Our bodies are already pretty self-sufficient. The liver is the body's natural detox center. (It's important to note that these kinds of fasts involve drinking a lot of water and ingesting some salt in order to support the body's normal salt and water balance.)

Basically, if you consume fewer calories, you will lose weight. But fasting to lose weight quickly can put metabolic stress on your body. After fasting for a few days, you risk damaging your body. Losing muscle mass is very unhealthy.

Hey nice lens but I think you are a bit uninformed about fasting to lose weight. Fasting for weight loss does not mean going for days or weeks at a time without food. It is simply alternating periods of eating with periods of fasting, usually in a 24 hour period.

This way your metabolism is kept high and you still get to eat all the things that you enjoy :)

    Nice Lens though
