NY Times Or Squidoo? Or Both?
Who's your favorite information provider?
Ideally, you'll get the facts, only the facts, and nothing but the facts from a New York Times article. (Ideally...)
Our fine lensmasters add their passion and judgment to their stories.
Which is your preferred information source?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byI love the smell of news ink!
JaguarJulie says:
ok -- our household is a split personality! For the sake of argument, I'm now my hubby! Mmmmm ... the smell of news ink = the smell of money as you see we supply the printing industry with printing chemicals used in newspaper / web and offset printing!!!
Posted June 06, 2008

It really depends on the subject. Squidoo can be very helpful to dive through mounds of information, especially on practical topics. The NYT is more timely I guess. Better for the today-news.

I love Squidoo!

poddys says:
Squidoo does have a lot of useful information, in fact when it comes to HTML or CSS features for example, I jump straight to the lenses where I know I can find examples, rather than other tutorials.
For other world news, I go to the web sites for the local newspapers that I am interested in, be that here in the USA or in England. The internet news is so much more up to date and complete than a newspaper.

JaguarJulie says:
Whew, back from my out-of-body experience channeling my hubby this morning! I absolutely love Squidoo!
Posted June 06, 2008
GypsyOwl says:
My favorite information provider is Squidoo because a Lens includes facts as well as human experience and discernment. To elaborate, when a news story is in the NY Times, it may or may not be interesting (the space needs to be filled - to justify pre-sold advertising). Contrastingly, on Squidoo, the interest and passion are developed first by a Lensmaster (who chooses to write, what they are passionate about), and then, [thoughtfully], advertisers are selected (based on pertinence, helpfulness, and high recommendation). This kind of recommendation provides an added value to the Lens.
