New York vs. Boston - which is your favorite city?

Boston is the better city!
lismary says:
BOSTON IS WAY BETTER ! new york only has a few nice spots Boston is beautiful , CLEANNNNNNN ! you can actually live and drive cars around the city and all better than in NY , compare the stores in the Bronx to Newberry come on people
Shadrosky says:
Boston!
Nick O says:
Boston by far is superior.
Emz says:
Boston has bathrooms. And planes that dont crash from geese
Kody woods says:
Boston(A.K.A Titletown)… Boston may not be as big as NYC but its alot cleaner..i mean who rlly cares about size..New Yorkers get a big head jus to be from New York…like tht has anythng to do with wat you have accomplished… as far as sports.. Patriots,Red Sox,Celtics, and Bruins..they the best at what they do...

Northeasterner says:
Boston! It's my favorite city in all the New World!
roadroamer says:
Boston is the better city! It's cleaner, has better teams, and is a more down to earth city than NYC. You also don't deal with the terrible smog that Manhattan has, and you don't have to pay $7 tolls to travel between sections of the city.
New York City is far superior.
Casey says:
I've lived in Boston and I grew up in the NY area. If you're in "The City," you're in NY, not Boston. Boston is a large town, not a city. Don't get me wrong, I've loved my 4 years of school up there, but there is no comparing the people, prestige, pride and aura that encompasses THE CITY.
Nightlife - New Yorkers probably don't realize that Boston literally shuts down at 2am, with the transit (the T) closing at 1am typically. NY never sleeps.
Food - I don't have the wallet for seafood. Get me to a pizzeria or deli ASAP. Boston pizza is VERY hit or miss (mostly miss). Also, Boston doesn't know what bagels taste like (hint, you don't find them at Dunkin).
Sports - This is a tough one because I'd say as a whole, the average Boston city dweller cares more about sports than their NY counterpart. This being said however, the whole Boston sports "scene" is just that, it's a scene. It is suddenly cool to know everything and anything about the big 4 (sox, bruins, celtics, pats). I know that a lot of my friends didn't give 2 shits about the Bruins 2 years ago, but suddenly they know every player and pretend they've "always been fans." "Decade of dominance" Be sure to teach your kids about the decade of dominance when 20 years have once again passed with little to no sports success.
Nicholas says:
I'm surprised that Boston is as clean as it is, because garbage cans are so hard to come by! When I was there I littered out of necessity. And the fact that Boston thinks it's better than NY really amuses me. I'd say that most people outside of America have never really heard about Boston, but everyone's heard of NY!
me says:
You have got to be kidding me! Boston is overall way better than new york... i like the city of both boston and nyc but new york is just to dirty! Boston's passion for sports is way higher than new york! Also the schools in Boston are way better educational wise and clean. I do have some sympathy for NY due to 9-11 but not only did it affect NY but the whole world! These are some of the few reasons why i think Boston is a lot better than New York!

New York is better! 27 World Series rings. The fashion, food, and finance capital of the world. Come here, come hungry!

Boston Accent vs. New York Accent
A battle of the northeastern USA accents

Boston and New York accents have been made famous by celebrities and movies. You can find Boston accents in the movies Good Will Hunting, The Departed, and in many episodes of the Simpsons portrayed by Mayor Quimby. The New York accent/dialect, like the Boston accent, extends its reach to the region around the city itself. The most notable differences between the two accents are the pronunciation of the letter "r." Boston for the most part ignored the letter "r" if it is at the end of a word, while New York adds an "aw" to "o" sounding words like "coffee" and "New York."
