Lensography of a New Squid

Ranked #4,604 in Squidoo Community, #310,869 overall

LKW31's Collection of Lenses

Well, I never thought I would become quite so Squid addicted when I first joined. In fact, I didn't really know what I was doing or why I was doing it.

I found Squidoo when I stumbled on someone's lens during a Google search for something and was intrigued. I thought I would create just one lens just to see how it would turn out. This soon turned into two lenses, then five and now this lens marks my 15th lens! To celebrate I thought I would write a lovely lensography to showcase my creations!

This lensography is also a small way of saying thank you to the lensmasters and Angels who have helped me on my Squidoo journey so far. I am constantly blown away by the community spirit at Squidoo, everyone I have met here are unfailingly helpful, positive and encouraging.

I am now truly hooked and now after almost three months here I am beginning to feel like I am getting some direction in what I want to achieve. I am looking forward to what my future on Squidoo holds; it has been a whirlwind of adventure for me so far!

Angels Who Have Blessed My Lenses

Blessings are precious, they do a lot more than just giving the lens a boost in rank. They boost my confidence and motivation too!

Reading is a big passion of mine and as I like to look at other people's booklists I thought I would create some of my own.

On Cloud 9

Cumulonimbus Cloud

Cumulonimbus by toxickore at Flikr

I adore clouds and think they are much overlooked! My lens Beautiful and Fascinating Clouds is very dear to my heart, I spent a lot of time working on this lens and I am very proud of it.

The Cloud Appreciation Society say that a sunny day is boring, clouds make our sky fun! And I quite agree, so I wrote this lens to do my bit in hopefully getting people to look up and notice clouds more in a good way. I was utterly over the moon with my first ever blessing for any lens from the marvellous lensmaster Kathy McGraw. Kathy also gave me great critique and help in polishing up this lens when it was first published, so I owe her a massive thank you!

Then as wonderful surprise WordCustard wrote about my lens in a review article, check out the link Squidoo Lens Reviews where you will find reviews for great lenses written by accomplished lensmasters on Squidoo.

This lens also came third in the Fresh Squid Contest! Fresh Wonders is a Ning group set up by a_willow who must be the busiest person I have ever (virtually!) met and is a great mentor to us newbies! There is a monthly contest for newcomers, known as Fresh Squids, each month. This group gives a huge amount of support and guidance to newbies, read more about Fresh Squids and Fresh Wonders at Fresh Squid Headquarters. This group is invaluable in helping new squids develop and learn on Squidoo, without it I would have felt very lost when I first joined.

Lens of the Day! The Wonder of Rainbows

Rainbow Pictures

Skiesgreen voted for The Wonder of Rainbows to be Lens of the Day, which was fantastic in itself. But then it actually became LOTD, I couldn't believe it!

It was something I thought would never happen, and if it did it would be when I am super slick at making lenses, so I was stunned.

So thank you skiesgreen, LOTD was an amazing experience.

Lens of the Day! Again!

I am over the moon that this lens was chosen to be LOTD, I thought I would never have a LOTD again because it is such a rare honour. So yippeee!

This lens was created to provoke a lively debate and it certainly did. It received many strong arguements for and against dogs, some pretty heated!
