Ethical E-mailing
One thing that always gets on my nerves is when people send forwarded emails and everyone they know's email address is there in plain site of everyone they send the email to. Oops..I don't mean to step on any toes here...but if you're doing this it's a big NO NO.
Why?
Because it's an open invitation to anyone that gets the email to send you SPAM, or unsolicited email and they can send you all kinds of ads and everything else.
I want to be totally clear about this...
Never never never spam anyone. If you do and they complain your isp can shut your account down, and
in some states you can even be fined for doing this.
Instead of sending forwards and putting the emails in the TO blank, use the BCC blank, or blind carbon copy. This way when the email arrives it will only show your email and not everybody else's.
Organizing shortcuts
If you're having a hard time keeping track of all the things you need to do, websites, emails, friends, and everything else, I have a few little tricks that most of us who have been around awhile take for granted.

First of all, you might want to create a folder on your desktop to keep up with specific things you need to keep track of. It's really simple to do this and will save you a lot of headaches when you forget how to get to a site you wanted to remember or forget a friend's email address.

Just right click your desktop and choose from the menu NEW then click FOLDER. You can name the folder by just clicking the "new folder" text and changing it to what you want. Now you have a folder that you can drag things into from your desktop, like shortcuts that tend to clutter it up after a while.

If you want to write yourself a note, for instance someone calls your voice mail and you don't have a pen, just right click your desktop and choose NEW then click TEXT DOCUMENT and you can type the info there so you can remember it.
If you have too many shortcuts on your desktop that are cluttering it up, just create a new folder for each catagory and drag them with your left mouse key down into the folders. This is a lot neater and will help you to keep track of what goes where.
Must Have Tools
Everyone needs a cool way to keep up with user names and passwords, and this is a have-to-have. Internet Explorer is Okay, but Firefox is better. It will save all your logins for every site you have to log into, and you can save them into groups and open them all at once in the tabs.
