While I highly prefer to research items on newegg, when I find what I am looking for I normaly then get it @ amazon. Newegg always frustrates me when it comes to shipping... somehow my packages can never be tracked and come so much slower that I expect. I have probably purchased from amazon north of 50 times and newegg close to 20 and amazon never ceases to please me. I often had paid for neweggs rush processing in the past.....

I used to think Newegg but I just ordered from Amazon a motherboard because they were $8.00 dollars cheaper. I noticed Newegg is starting to have less free shipping than they used to. That what EggHead started doing before they shut or was bought out by Amazon.

- I cannot believe some people keep saying "Newegg is the Best!" "It's cheap and I've been doing it like foeva!" Wake up sheep, Newegg has gotten more expensive because of all the attention and transition to stockholders maintaining it. Don't forget to mention state taxes and high costs for shipping, whoever buys from them must not understand that they are overpriced and are just fanboi idiots who can't fathom that they are loosing their hard earned cash without looking for better deals.

- I shop more at Amazon these days, but not or computer components. I used to use Tiger Direct (now same company as CompUSA) for most of my computer components, because of the wide range and good prices. Buy.com are also very good for many items, with excellent prices and free shipping.
