The 100 year old New England Snow Cone Tradition

This lens is about something fun! I live in Connecticut in the heart of New England. We have been known to have some monster snowstorms! Many years ago my grandmother Kathleen Adamo told us about her mother's recipe for New England Snow Cones! Its not rocket science , nor is it earth shattering , but it is fun for kids and adults a like!

Ingredients needed?

A SNOWSTORM!
YOUR CHOICE OF FRUIT PRESERVES!

Right before a storm, or after one has started get some clean bowls out , maybe on a back porch table or railing and let it snow into your bowl! Keep an eye out for Fido or Tabby as yellow snow is a no-no!

Once you bowls are full of snow then bring them inside and add your favorite fruit preserve. Strawberry, Blackberry and other berries are my favorite! Some like to use Maple Syrup! The resulting slushy goodness goes well beyond common SNO cones and cannot really be called a SNOW Cone!
