Squidcast sent from the lens The Importance of the New Forest, Southern England

Now This Lens Has Two Pages

05/12/2010 3:51 pm

Instead of wading through one long page with a mixture of information about the New Forest in Hampshire, UK, this lens now consists of two pages.

The first one mostly covers the environmental and conservation aspects of the New Forest together with the history that has made it of such extreme importance for its flora and fauna, much of it endangered or extinct elsewhere in the UK.

Page two is a guide for visitors with information on towns, villages and other places of interests in and around the Forest.

I hope this separation will make the lens much easier to use and navigate.

Chosen as Amazon.com's Book of the Month for April 2010, the author Bill Kibben claims that the Earth has passed the tipping point and global warming has now progressed to far to stop. He argues that we can't get our old Earth back to the way it was but the book isn't all doom and gloom. While he talks about the changes we will see, he also offers a solution allowing us to live on the new Earth.
