Self Catering - The Ideal Family Choice
Self catering offers the ideal, flexible solution for family holidays. Younger family members enjoy having a "new house" or apartment to be their own during the holiday and there is considerably more space in a holiday cottage, house or apartment than in any of the other accommodation options available.
Space is important - parents are much more likely to be able to enjoy the break if their children/teenagers have somewhere where they can do their own thing. In any holiday party, no-one wants to do the same thing as each other all of the time.
For the very young, routine, particularly bedtime routine, is an important factor in their lives. I've had experience of what happens when you upset the regular routine of a three year old - it's not conducive to a relaxing break! Self Catering properties allow families to operate to their own timetables and routine. Flexibility to come and go as you please and to keep the elements of normal home life that you want.

Surfing at Sunset
Newquay and Cornwall
Why Newquay is a good choice for a family break in the UK
Cornwall, and Newquay in particular, has always been very popular with families. The range of things to do is considerable, whether its surf and sun on the golden beaches (of which there are a great many near Newquay), golf, cycling and horse riding or country and coastal walks.Day attractions abound with many having an "all weather" appeal that comes in very useful when the weather turns a bit "British" as it is wont to do on occasion! A wet day here and there need not result in bored children and desperate parents. There's plenty to see and do including large indoor play areas where you can sit, if not in peace then at least in comfort, whilst the younger family members run off crazy amounts of energy!
In Newquay itself you have the Blue Reef Aquarium (indoor) and Newquay Zoo that are both well worth a visit. Nearby Lappa Valley Railway offers a great day out, cut off from the rest of the world in a sheltered valley accessed by a narrow gauge steam railway.
Near Helston, Flambards Theme Park has both indoor and outdoor rides and attractions both suited to the young and older adventurous types. To your south along the coast you can visit bustling St Ives with its galleries and museums. North you will find Tintagel Castle, home to Arthurian legend as well as being a site of archaeological significance.
Travel across to the South Coast from newquay is easily accomplished (maybe taking in Truro en route.). Here you will find the Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle at Falmouth and a choice of fantastic gardens including Trelissick (National Trust) Glendurgan and Trebah (private).
Newquay Apartments offer a good selection of holiday properties to let in and around Newquay. You can search their property list, quickly narrowing the choice down according to your preferences.
The larger properties sleep up to 12 in comfort whilst there is a good choice of properties sleeping 3,4 or 5 as well as more cosy properties for couples seeking a romantic escape.
