Not sure what to put on your New Years Party Invitation

You should always include the following;

Location of the Party with directions if you think any one might not know how to find it.

Date and time of the Party, you can include an end time if needed. (Helpful with people that need to arrange babysitters)

Attire
People invited to parties are sometimes not sure if it will be casual attire, semi formal, formal, or a themed party event. It will save anyone for being embarrased if they make assumption on their attire and show up in jeans at a black tie affair, or in a suit and everyone else is in casual attire.

What type of party it is:
Include the party theme if any, give them a hint of what to expect at the party.

Examples:

Please help us celebrate the last decade with a night of dancing, music, hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. (Full bar included, BYOB, No host bar, etc)

Looking for Some Fun Games to play at your New Years Party?

Charades of the Past

What do you need: Magazines and Newpapers from the past year.

How To Play:
Go through magazines and newspapers to pick out events from the past year.

Create a list of events and type them up or write them on paper to throw into a New Years Hat, and have your guests act out for Charades or "Win, Lose or Draw". You can also create a Pictionary type of game from these events.

Your guest's can team up in groups of two and act out whichever past year's event that they have randomly drawn.

Guess Whose Resolution

What do you need:
Cut up pieces of paper and pen or pencil for each guest
A New Years Party Hat

To Play
Make each of your guests write down 3 New Years resolutions, each on its own slip of paper.

Pass the hat around and have people pull one slip of paper out of a hat at a time and read it out loud. Each person will write down whose resolution they think it is. At the end of each guessing period the person that wrote it will reveal themselves. Each person who guessed right gets a point. The person who guessed the most correctly wins a prize.

Have a Board Game Tournament

Gather different types of board games, have everyone play until you have a winner at each table. Then all the winners compete for the final win and prize.

Card Games

Card games are a great group game you can play with everyone. Play a game that a large group can play with many decks of cards, or have a card game type tournament.

Whose Red Now

Have each party guest write down one embarrassing thing that happened to them throughout the year. Put them in a New Years Party hat and pass it around, each person pulls one out and reads it aloud. Everyone tries to guess whose looks the most embarassed or "red in the face". You decide whether you want to leave the person anonymous or have them reveal themselves to the party. Just creates a lot of fun and laughter. Because the person with the embarassing thing wrote it themselves, they choose what to share and no one gets their feelings hurt.
