Examples with design & landmark information:

BROOKLYN BRIDGE - NEW YORK CITY - 1883 - This design is for all Brooklyn and New York City fans or people who like beautiful suspension bridges ! - New York`s old Brooklyn Bridge, built 1883 with a span of 1.595 feet and overall length of 6.016 ft - at that time the world`s largest suspension-bridge ! - Today it still spans across the East River with grace and majesty: the 2 gothic towers hold a network of wires and cables, reminding of a spider`s net, with a pedestrian pathway in the middle... the only one in Manhattan ! - Brooklyn is one of the 5 New York boroughs, a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic community with immigrants from all parts of the world, a popular place to live with a great neighborhood - take the way across the East River from Manhattan Island by world famous Brooklyn Bridge, a really nice walk !

MANHATTAN BRIDGE - NEW YORK CITY - 1909 - This design is for all Manhattan and New York City fans or people who like beautiful suspension bridges ! - The nice blue coloring resumes the bridge´s color and transfers it to the design itself - Built in 1909 as the third of the Downtown Bridges, Manhattan Bridge connects Manhattan and Brooklyn with an overall-length of 6850 feet. It is often used as an alternate to the Brooklyn Bridge, since the two are so close in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Construction began on October 1, 1901, and the bridge was open to traffic on December 31, 1909 - The Manhattan Bridge was first planned as a traditional wire-cable suspension bridge to be used exclusively by trains. In 1892, elevated railway magnate Frederick Uhlmann had proposed this span just north of the present site of the Manhattan Bridge. In 1901, Gustav Lindenthal, the commissioner of the newly created New York City Department of Bridges, presented plans for the Manhattan Bridge (originally called "Suspension Bridge Number 3"), which was to connect the Bowery and Canal Street in Chinatown with Flatbush Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn.

9-11-2001 - WORLD TRADE CENTER - NEW YORK CITY - GROUND ZERO - in memory of the tragic events of September 11th 2001, the attack at New York´s World Trade Center, memorizing the 3,000 victims of 9-11 and Manhattan´s unique Twin Towers, which had dominated New York´s Downtown skyline for so long - The 9-11 Design is a collage of a color photo, showing the World Trade Center New York City from a frog´s perspective, combined with the capital lettering "9-11", serving as a window to the Twin Towers photo image, and decorated with Stars & Stripes at the corners. 9-11 INFORMATION: On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, at 8:45am New York local time, One World Trade Center, the north tower, was hit by a hijacked 767 commercial jet airplane, loaded with fuel for a trans-continental flight. Two World Trade Center, the south tower, was hit by a similar hijacked jet 18 minutes later at 9:03am. (In separate but related attacks, the Pentagon building near Washington D.C. was hit by a hijacked 757 at 9:43am, and at 10:10am, a fourth hijacked jetliner crashed in Pennsylvania.) The south tower, World Trade Center 2, which had been hit second, was the first to suffer a complete structural collapse at 10:05am, 62 minutes after being hit itself, 80 minutes after the first impact. The north tower, World Trade Center 1, then also collapsed at 10:30am, 105 minutes after being hit. World Trade Center 7, a substantial 47 story office building in its own right, built in 1987, was damaged and caught fire and later in the afternoon also collapsed. More than 3000 people were killed in the attack.

WALL STREET - NEW YORK CITY - FINANCIAL DISTRICT - DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN - Wall-Street area, less than 1/2 mile long, has one of the highest concentrations of skyscrapers in the world. Crooked streets retain New York´s original Dutch layout; lower Manhattan was the first part of the island to be settled. Once the border of the New Amsterdam settlement, Wall-Street is named for the wall built in 1653 to shield the Dutch colony from British invasion. By the early 19th century, the Wall Street area was financial capital of the USA. Today Wall Street is one of the world´s most important financial centers and the New York Stock Exchange one of the top money marketplaces. - The Wall Street design is a grand color photo of the famous New York Wall Street skysrapers in Downtown Manhattan, gleaming in the evening sun, and seen in a bird´s eye perspective from the top of former World Trade Center - a precious photo today !

OLD NEW YORK - HISTORIC DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN - NEW YORK`S WOOLWORTH BUILDING & LOWER BROADWAY - The grand old design of Lower Broadway Buildings including the historic Woolworth Building opens a new series of old time motifs with views of American cities - see other oltimers coming up ! - The historic Woolworth Building, located on Lower Broadway in Downtown Manhattan was built in 1913, and with 60 floors became the world`s tallest skyscraper of that time. The beautiful neo-gothic facade gave this grand old skyscraper its by-name: "Cathedral of Commerce" !

BROOKLYN - NEW YORK CITY - I LOVE BROOKLYN, NEW YORK - This design is for all Brooklyn or New York City fans - a comic type logo with a clear message - "I love Brooklyn" is different from all the other "I love" city & heart designs ! - Brooklyn is one of the 5 New York boroughs, a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic community with immigrants from all parts of the world, a popular place to live with a great neighborhood - take the way across the East River from Manhattan Island by famous Brooklyn Bridge !
