"Niche marketing is the process of finding and serving small but potentially profitable market segments and designing custom-made products or services for them."
Now, in this guide we are going to focus on niche marketing online. So let me quickly adjust the above statement to read true for what we are looking at learning...
"Online Niche marketing is the process of researching and serving small but potentially profitable online markets and promoting products and services to that market using online mediums."
Make sense? We are basically looking at what products, services and information people are searching for on the internet, and providing them with it.
Niche markets are generally smaller markets that are easier to target because in most cases there is less competition. Some people however believe that niche marketing is not about finding small markets but about expanding current market shares. I believe its a bit of both.
For us, what really matters most is the technicals and that is what the rest of this guide is about. How to find profitable markets, how to build a website that targets those markets, how to get them to your website, how to find or develop products to promote to them and finally how to sell those products to them.
