Nichole Byers Lampwork Beads

Ranked #19,368 in Arts & Design, #455,204 overall

Welcome to my Passion - Lampwork Beads!

This lens features the lampwork glass beads of Nichole Byers.

I started making beads around 2002, and after starting and quitting other crafts and hobbies, beadmaking is the one that "stuck" - my studio is my favorite place to be, and I can't imagine ever giving it up!

Within this lens you will find some of my favorite photos, as well as links to all of my sites (blog, store, newsletter). I've also highlighted some of my favorite lampworking books and some jewelry books that are great for projects with lampwork beads.

Don't forget to scroll to the bottom and sign my guestbook!

Pandora Style Beads

Did you know I can make them?

I don't design or work for Pandora or any of the other similar companies (Chamilia, Biagi, Trollbeads), but almost any of the beads I make can be made to fit Pandora bracelets!

Just contact me and I can give you a quote. I use mostly Italian glass and can work with you to create unique designs in colors that you love.

And remember, when you buy artisan beads, you are buying beads that are one of a kind and very special - unlike the cheap factory-made beads sold at the craft stores.

"Lizzie" set from February, 2009

Handcrafted Lampwork Glass Beads by Nichole Byers

I think this set is really cool - the colors are unexpected, but they "go" so well with each other. Teal, blue, yellow ochre, and periwinkle, this set has three "lentil" shaped beads that are complimented by several accent beads in various colors and designs.

Purchase My Lampwork Glass Beads on Etsy

I love Etsy - Etsy is a venue that is geared toward people who sell handcrafted items in any medium. I've purchased photography prints, lip gloss, and a knit cap for my daughter from Etsy artists and crafters.

Etsy is also the venue I've chosen to sell my handmade glass beads. I've found that Etsy caters to a customer base that appreciates quality, and the sense of community offered by Etsy is wonderful.

My store is located at nicholebeads.etsy.com . If you aren't a member yet, you can click here to join Etsy. It's free!

"Janelle" set in primary colors, Feb. 2009

I love the bright and fun colors in this set - it was rendered in mostly primary colors, but without coming across as being juvenile or circus-like. I think the key to acheiving sophistication in primary colors is to just use two (like the red and blue in this set), and then accentuate them with secondary and tertiary colors (such as the lime green and yellow-orange). A hint of black also helps the set work well in women's jewelry.
