The Atheists are Revolting!

My first video blog, on a subject I've been itching to get my teeth into.

As an atheist, I see more and more Christians coming up with the line 'you can't have moral values without God'.

Well, sorry, you can.

If you've ever wondered why Christians can argue like they've been reading the bible every minute of their lives, it's because they probably have.

They are taught to defend their faith. So it's time to educate yourself and find some arguments to rebut the lies and fallacies of the religious argument.

Love me or I'll set you on fire. Forever. Next time you start a relationship, try that and see how it goes down. Christians fall for it all the time, but what they don't realise is that this is a threat. No other word for it.

If you've ever tried to explain to a Christian that you don't believe in God, and that atheism is not, in fact, denial of a God you know exists, but is actually an absence of any belief at all, you'll know that it's as futile as trying to convince the sea that it should stop waving at you.

Don't try to tell me I believe in God but reject him. I am an atheist. I DO NOT believe in God. End of story.

Why atheists can be sure they are not missing anything by not believing in God.

If someone believes the universe is only 6000 years old, you'd better believe that you will NEVER get through to them, on any level.

So don't bother.

Just walk away.

If you can just look at the universe and 'know' that an intelligent designer made it, why not 'know' that more than one designer made it?

There is no 'proof' for an intelligent design which precludes the presence of several designers. The fact that only one designer is ever mentioned simply indicates the hidden agenda behind ID - it is Christian Creationism by another name.

Threatening to torture someone for all eternity is mental abuse. This is the supposed 'love of God' who loves you so much that he will roast you forever if you don't love him back.

If you gave that 'choice' to your own children, you would be accused to abuse. This element of Christianity is therefore a form of abuse.

Christianity tells you that you are bad from birth, a sinner as soon as you pop out of the womb.

Everything you do, you must take care not to sin. Even if your actions don't hurt anybody.

The concept of sin is just a system of guilt. Ignore it.

Passages from the Islamic Holy Book, the Qur'an.

There are literally hundreds of them, which is why they go by so quickly, but that only serves to emphasise the sheer volume of the cruelty found in the Qur'an.

Sometimes atheists fall into that classic Christian trap: quoting cruelty from the Old Testament. The Christian response is: but Jesus changed all that. Read the NEW Testament, which is all about love and peace.

Oh really?

Gaps in the fossil record. That's what Creationists use to disprove evolution. Where are the intermediate species? Where is the evidence of gradual change, the slow forming of arms or wings? Why don't we have a complete fossil record?

This video touches on why fossils are so rare, and being so rare why you could never possibly have a complete fossil record. And even if you did, Creationists would use it to prove THEIR point.

Meanwhile, unicorns and dragons are found in the Bible. What arguments do Creationists use FOR them? Exactly the same ones they use AGAINST evolution.

"How any Christian can believe that senseless condemnation of the lifestyle choices of gay people can somehow be 'softened' by empty, meaningless 'compassion' for the person himself is nonsense.

Separating homosexual acts from homosexual people, by professing to hate the sin but not the sinner, is BULLSHIT. It is hypocrisy of the very worst kind. If you don't respect what the person is or does, you do not respect the person.

If you hate what gay people do in the privacy of their own homes, you are a bigot and a homophobe.

And if Christianity hates homosexuality, I should have no reservation in saying that I return the sentiment: I hate Christianity.

In the true spirit of Biblical teaching, we should all hate Christianity... but not the Christians. Have no respect AT ALL for their opinions, which condemn homosexuals AND homosexuality with their weasel words.
