I am a Scraper

I just love scrapbooking, both with paper and with pixels. And I've got several lenses to prove it!

Digital Scrapbooking Freebies is my lens that's all about "where to find the good stuff." If you like digital scrapbooking, then you'll love knowing where to go to get things for FREE! Then I have two other lenses on where to go to find inspiration for paper scraping (Helpful Scrapbooking Links) and where to go shopping for digital scraping (Links for Digital Scrapbookers). And if you look below, you'll see I've now expanded my collection to include lenses on a few companies who make products that I adore!

Yes, this is my favorite pastime.

I'm a Homemaker

Yes, I am all over the web. Yes, I have a internet addiction. But really, my first love is my family. And I enjoy working to make our place a happy home that's warm and inviting after a long day.

Here is my lens containing all the great information on organization I've collected over the years: Homemaking and Housekeeping.

I may be an "expert" here on Squidoo, but I'm also just a normal person who gets real slobby, too. I'd hate to give the wrong impression of myself. I've collected all this information because I need the kick in the pants myself and I've found these things to be really helpful! I may love the home, but I love sitting around in my pjs, too. Ha!

Lens of the Day!

Other Homey Lenses

I'm a Rubber Stamp Enthusiast

I discovered the wonderful art of rubber stamping when a girlfriend sent me a pack of handmade baby thank you cards after my daughter was born. I had never considered myself to be a crafty person before, although I've always loved artsy things, like my art class in high school. Yet I knew I wasn't really gifted enough to come up with great ideas all on my own so I never pursued the arts industry. But rubber stamping appealed to me because of it's limitations (I didn't have to draw anything!) and I fell in love.

And now since I started making my own cards, I've received the compliment that I'm "really crafty" several times. I have to laugh because I know that I've acquired a learned skill--I wasn't born crafty. I've just kept on playing with stamps, ink and paper until I discovered how to emulate some really groovy stampers. Then my passion for all sorts of handmade things exploded. Now I knit, stamp, scrapbook and even quilt! I feel confident that if I just keep messing around with arts and crafts long enough, I'll figure out a way to make it my own. And what a blast it's been!

Here's my "How To" lens on Rubber Stamping: Stamps, Ink & Paper. And if you are new to stamping and you don't know what products you'd need to buy, check out the Stamping Shopper, my "personal shopper" lens with all my recommendations. I'm the Wife of Travis Seitler

On June 1, 2002, I married the man I always dreamed exisited...and his name is Travis Seitler.

There's so much I can say about him, but it requires lots and lots of HTML. I'll start by leaving you some links to my favorite lenses of his (see below).

For a really interesting read, be sure to check out the Story of How We Met.

And a bit of trivia, Travis is an artist. He drew the picture of me that you see at the top of this lens.

Some of Travis' Great Lenses

I'm a Food Lover

I really enjoy cooking for my family. For me there's a lot of joy in hearing that they like the things I cook. And I love being a budget gourmet--making fancy dishes on a simple budget.

I also love healthy food. That's why I created a lens on the evils of MSG and how it's hidden in so many of our favorite foods. For more information than you probably really wanted, check out: MSG is Evil.

On top of that, I've written about a few of my favorite books on food Real Food and SuperFoods. Eating is actually good for you! Go figure...

All About Food!

I'm a Total Geek

Yes, I love technology.

You know what I love even more? That the word "geek" now defines a person who is cool. It seems like the definition of geek now means "someone who knows a lot about certain subjects that they're passionate about" and if that's the case, then making a lens on Squidoo is grounds for being labeled a geek! I'm proud to call myself a geek.
Other things that make me a geek: I'm obsessed about Lost. There are two episodes of Doctor Who are in my list of All Time Favorite Episodes lens. And I love Photoshop.

My Geeky Lenses

I'm a Mommy

Being a mom provides lots of good material for making lenses. I've written all about potty training my daughter, the homemade baby food recipes I love to use for my kids and what I think the best diapers are.

I think it's fun to use Squidoo like a giant scrapbook in that way... a little snapshot of the big stories in our lives. And it's a way to get the word out to others about things you love at the same time!

Parenting and Kids on Squidoo

I am an '80's Toy Nut!

I've always cherished my sweet childhood memories of the hours I spent playing with friends like Strawberry Shortcake, Calico Critters and Jem. And thanks to Squidoo (and thanks to being a mommy), I get a chance to relive those moments again with my toy lenses.

Stop by my toy lenses to relieve a bit of your past, too. And vote for your favorite characters while you're at it! Fun, fun!
