Who Am I?

Well, hello there web surfer. :-) You could have found this page in A LOT of different ways. Maybe you stumbled in from one of my Squidoo lenses, you read one of my blogs, or you found something I wrote on Associated Content to be useful or interesting. This page is for anyone who is curious about who I am to get to know me a little better.

I'm a 34 year old woman who currently lives in Seattle, Washington. I have also lived in New Orleans, Louisiana and Detroit Michigan. I love opportunities to spend time with my friends, getting to know new people, and having fun adventures. I enjoy traveling and have been to Toronto, London, Oxford, and all across the United States.... and I've met great people everywhere I've been.

I enjoy writing and one of the things I'm working on is turning my love of writing into a viable living. Slowly, I'm actually making headway, and I dance around the living room with glee every time something I wrote turns into some change in the piggy bank. You'll find examples of a lot of my work linked into this page. Some of it is light and very mainstream, and some of it delves into philosophy, psychology and spirituality.

I happen to be Wiccan, which for those who are not familiar is a particular form of Pagan spirituality. I'm also fascinated by spiritual teachings from many cultures, time periods and religions.

I'm a strange cross between a social butterfly and a girl cut out to be a librarian. I like to dance all night until I'm ready to drop. I'm also more than willing to shut the TV because I feel like researching anthropology for the next five hours. I'm fairly spontaneous, and moved by things that make me feel passionate and alive.

My Favorite Subjects

  • Wicca and related Pagan topics.
  • Songwriting, music composition and music theory.
  • Philosophy and the ideas of philosophers from different ages and cultures.
  • Psychology and the theories and writing of notable psychologists.
  • Mythology and Folklore.
  • Traveling and enjoying the adventure of life.
  • New Orleans

I Love New Orleans!

New Orleans is my favorite city in the world, and the place I consider Home no matter where I live. I have never felt so in love with a City in my life. It has a rich culture full of wandering artists, musicians, circus performers, tarot readers, and uniquely spiritual folks.

Historically, it is one of the most important ports in the world, the opening to the waterways of the Mississippi River, which travels all the way up into the United States. Because travelers from all over the world came here at an earlier time than much of the rest of the United States, it represents a very unique kind of cultural melting pot, and has for a very long time.

New Orleans is still recovering from Hurricane Katrina, Rita, and the Effects of the Oil Spill. If you ever have a chance to put your hands in the work there, it will be a rewarding and life enriching experience.

On One Of My Favorite Days Ever, I Got to Repersent "The Spirit of New Orleans" in a Parade run by The Good Children's Carnival

It was AWSOME ! Thanks Don and Robin, for asking me to participate in the Good Children's Easter Parade.

This is Ginger. She was a one footed Parrot who was a companion of mine for some time, and could sing and dance and imitate alarm clocks. Yes, it's totally possible for a one footed bird to dance. Ginger was awesome, one of many wonderful animals I've rescued and become close with over the years.

Just wondering....
