Support for NICU Parents and Families During a Life Changing Experience
This NICU Parent Support lens was created to organize our various lenses and provide an overview of the information, support, encouragement and resources for NICU Parents and Families, those whose newborns are hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
This series of lenses was also developed benefit and raise awareness of the March of Dimes new NICU Family Support Program, created to support NICU Parents with information and encouragement to alleviate the stress, distress and confusion so common in NICU Families.
The NICU Parent Support Site Lens series covers a variety of topics from the basics of surviving the first few days to weeks, to suggestions for making it through the death of a baby.

- An excellent online website devoted to the Health of Premature Babies was created by specialists in neonatology, or the care of newborns at Meriter Health Services.

- An excellent online website devoted to the Health of Sick Newborn Babies was created by specialists in neonatology, or the care of sick newborns.

Since surviving the experience I have written professional papers, given presentations and developed a website devoted to Supporting NICU Parents.

There is a way to improve
anyone's quality of life as well as their Health.
Without Health You cannot really enjoy Life fully.

- Thank you for developing a lens on this important topic. One of my children was stillborn so I have some experience with related issues. I have been thinking about developing a lens on stillbirth. You have inspired me to tackle it sooner rather than later.
