Nigella Lawson Lens Intro

All recipes on one single website? At least Nigella Lawson recipes on it? I guess that's something really hard to achieve. I mean, there are some on food network and there are many in her books. But here's my train of thoughts: all recipes can't possibly be gathered on one place, since new ideas flow every day. All recipes of classic foods are pretty much the same in every cook book around the globe. Are Nigella Lawson recipes any different?
Many of us these days just don't use cook books any more. Internet is in every home and clicking sometimes seems a lot more easier than leafing through book. Although "domestic goddess" herself presented many interesting recipes on TV, there are surely many, many more Nigella Lawson recipes in her books and online.
I was checking food network the other day: there are - if I counted right - eighteen recipes of her. Some are for quick meals, others are more complex. I also checked her website and compared it to her books. It is fair to say that there aren't all recipes gathered anywhere. So the best thing to do is to combine all: internet experiences, books and TV shows. I bet you'll get many cooking ideas. Your partner or your family might just be delighted if you present yourself similar to famous British chef.
Watching Nigella's shows I could almost taste and smell the food she prepared. Plus flirty as she is - she totally enchanted me. And not only me; watching her TV shows actually raised cooking debates all over "men's world". I mean, you might not agree Lawson looks good, and you might disagree with her cooking abilities, but the final consequence is that even men are now interested in cooking. And that's some achievement, isn't it?
So, my point is: if you're looking for all recipes - this probably isn't the place to be. But if you're looking for interesting facts, sensitive videos and great pictures - check out my work below!

Nigella Lawson basics

Nigella Lawson recipes and more is leading topic of this lens.
I wanted to pay my deep respect to Nigella Lawson. I love watching her shows, I often try to cook as some of Nigella Lawson recipes recommend and man...is she hot or what?
She was born as Nigella Lucy Lawson in 1960. She is a food writer, journalist and broadcaster from Great Britain. Lawson was born to father Chancellor of the Exchequer, and Vanessa Salmon. Her family owned the J. Lyons and Co. Empire. She graduated at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University, and started to work as a book reviewer and restaurant critic.

Nigella Lawson later becomes the deputy literary editor of The Sunday Times in 1986. She then embarked upon a career as a freelance journalist, writing for a number of newspapers and magazines. Lawson brought out her first Nigella Lawson recipes cookery book in 1998. It was named How to Eat, and it sold 300,000 - became a bestseller. She went on to write her second book in 2000, How to be a Domestic Goddess, winning her the British Book Award for Author of the Year.

In 2000, she began to host her own cookery series Nigella Bites. That was followed by another bestselling cookery book about Nigella Lawson recipes. The Nigella Bites series won Lawson a Guild of Food Writers Award. In the USA Lawson hosted the Food Network's Nigella Feasts, followed by a three-part BBC Two series, Nigella's Christmas Kitchen, in the United Kingdom. This led to the commissioning of Nigella Express on BBC Two in 2007. Her own cookware range, Living Kitchen, has a value of £7 million, and she has sold more than 3 million cookery books worldwide.

Renowned for her flirtatious manner of presenting, Lawson has been called the "queen of food porn". She is neither a trained chef nor cook, and has assumed a distinctly relaxed approach to her cooking. Enjoy Nigella Lawson recipes!

Cosmo Cocktail Sausages

Nigella Lawson recipes

Next on the list of all recipes is "Cosmo Cocktail Sausages". It is one of the most popular Nigella Lawson recipes if any kind of party occurs. I couldn't find it on a food network, so I thought I could add it here. All recipes of course include such easy snacks and this is probably not one of the most complicated Nigella Lawson recipes, but you can find such tips for quick meals on every food network.
Ingredients needed for Cosmo Cocktail Sausages are: 50g of less shred orange marmalade, twice 15ml table spoons cranberry sauce and the same amount of lime juice and a little vodka. Not to forget, Nigella Lawson recipes demands 50 uncooked cocktail sausages.
I you want to feel a bit of a taste of all recipes "domestic goddess" recommend, this is the one to start at picnic or perhaps birthday party.
Start by heating oven to 200 degrees Celsius. That's on gas mark six usually. A shallow baking pan should be lined with foil. Mix all other ingredients apart from sausages in a container. Separate sausages and put them in foiled baking pan. Sprinkle the whole amount of mixture over and distribute it all over sausages. Bake for approximately fifty minutes (up to one hour). You have to shake the tin after twenty-five minutes. Don't worry if the marinade seems very liquid - all recipes secret is in thickening to a sausage later on. In fact, burnishing syrup and the marinade will surely adhere together by the time sausages are cooked.
This should serve 50 guests.
OK, we're not even near all recipes yet, but we're working on it.

Bucatini al'amatriciana (bucatini with spicy tomato and panceta sauce)

Nigella Lawson recipes

Another on the list of all recipes is bucatini with spicy tomato and pancetta sauce.
Since I'm really a pasta guy - and I believe many of you are as well - here's next of Nigella Lawson recipes and it can also be seen on any serious food network.
Ingredients -for pasta similar to many, but not all recipes needed are - one table spoon of olive oil, 350g of un-smoked pancetta cubes, one finely chopped onion, one finely chopped garlic clove and one dried and finely chopped seeded chili. In addition to that 100 milliliters of red wine is needed, 450g of tin chopped tomatoes and 400g of bucatini. To follow Nigella Lawson recipes exactly, prepare 6 table spoons of grated mature pecorino, sea salt and fresh ground black pepper according to taste, plus freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano, to serve.
This is probably one of the most used and cooked of all recipes.
If you want to follow Nigella Lawson recipes precisely heat the oil in a frying pan. It should be large enough to contain the cooked pasta later. When hot, throw in the pancetta and fry until crisp. Remove it to a plate. Add the onion to the pan, season with a pinch of salt and sauté for 7-8 minutes, until soft. Add the garlic and chili and cook for a further minute, stirring frequently. Splash with the wine and let it bubble away to reduce by half. Add chopped tomatoes and cook on moderate heat for about 20-25 minutes. Taste and add more salt if necessary and black pepper if you want. The sauce is already quite hot without it though - due to the chili. Cook the bucatini in plenty of salted water as usual. Drain thoroughly, giving the colander a few sharp shakes so that the water strapped in the holes of the bucatini comes out. Slide the pasta into the frying pan, add the pancetta, and shower with pecorino. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes, turning the bucatini over and over with 2 forks. Serve straight from the pan, with Parmesan handed round.
It's surely not the most gourmet of all recipes, but it should serve four to five people.
Bon appetit!
Are we getting close to all recipes yet? Nooo, of course not! But we're hard working.

Greek Yogurt recipes

Making of Greek Yogurt

This one is very important on the list of all recipes. Making of Greek Yogurt actually isn't on any of Nigella Lawson recipes. Since above is recipe with addition of Greek Yogurt I decided to describe procedure of making it. It is also one of the most used additions on any food network.
A quart of whole milk is needed and three tablespoons of plain yogurt with live cultures. I suggest using Activia, although if you go through all recipes you can find a long list of different cultures. Let me tell you once again, that's mine idea of Greek Yogurt, it is not from Nigella Lawson recipes.
Boil milk and cook it for two minutes. Fill the sink with cold water and place the tin in it. Water should be so cold you can keep your fingers in it for about ten seconds. Several of all recipes suggest using of thermometer, too.

The important thing is to cool down milk to 109 degrees. Add three table spoons of plain yogurt and make a blend in a bowl. Cover all together with plastic wrapping. Use a big blanket to wrap bowl and put all together in the oven for six to eight hours. Pour the completed yogurt into a strainer lined with sterile cloth and leave it there to drip through for two hours. After that time, keeping the yogurt in refrigerator, it should last for two weeks.
Going through many, but not all recipes though, plus checking food network, I certainly found useful tips to improve the whole thing. Good idea is to add a table spoon of sugar on each quart of milk. If you want Greek Yogurt to be thicker, using a cup of powdered milk on each quart of liquid milk might also prove to be good. Addition of pinch of salt is also suggested.
Remember - this is not a "Domestic Goddess" art work example, but I'm sure Nigella Lawson recipes use exactly the same procedure.
Our list of all recipes grows.

Chicken with spring onions, greek yogurt and chilli

Nigella Lawson recipes for those who are in a hurry

Nigella Lawson4 fat or 6 thin spring onions
2 cloves garlic
500g tub of Greek yogurt
6 skinless chicken breasts
Approximately 5 x 15ml tablespoons olive oil
Juice of 2 lemons
2-3 tablespoons each of freshly chopped coriander and mint
Half a cucumber, peeled and cut into small cubes
1 fresh green chilli

Each chicken breast should be opened and cut into three length. That way you produce small and thin pieces. Put those pieces on dish, spill some lemon juice over, add three table spoons of oil and spice it with pepper and salt.
Put the Greek yogurt in mixing bowl. Cut those spring onions on small pieces, sprinkle it on top of yogurt and chop chilli over. Chilli should be de-seeded first, of course. Peeled and minced garlic should be added after that. Next step is adding the peeled cucumber. Chop coriander and mint and mince the most of it - reserve a little for later - on top.
All those ingredients should be mixed together. Mixture should be tasted and salted if necessary.
Remaining olive oil should be heated. Pieces of chicken - taken out of the marinade - should be then fried for approximately four minutes on each side. That may vary - chicken should be cooked through and golden on parts of outside. Reaching gold color you should pour some half of the marinade onto chicken and fry it for another minute.
Serve chicken pieces on dishes. Yogurt mixture should be scraped into bowl, formatted with a spoon (into a dollop) and sprinkled with the rest of chopped herbs.

Turkey and glass noodle

Nigella Lawson recipes

Adding to the list of all recipes - turkey and glass noodle salad is next. This one is one of the most popular Nigella Lawson recipes.
Ingredients needed for the dressing are: two cloves of crushed garlic, two fresh red chilies (deseed them and dice), two tablespoons (15ml) of crushed ginger, four tablespoons (15ml) of fish sauce, juice of one lime, two tablespoons of powdered sugar and sixty ml of water. You need two tea spoons of groundnut oil and a single tea spoon of sesame oil. Dressing is of course not exactly the same in all recipes similar to this one; you can choose the one according to your taste. You can find different dressings on any food network. If you want to stick to the original Nigella Lawson recipes, that's fine, too.
Ingredients needed for the salad are: 250 grams of cold turkey, 170 grams of fine noodles, 125 grams of sugar snaps and 125 grams of beans (sprouted). You also need a spoon of sesame oil, two spoons of groundnut oil and small amount of minced coriander. Twenty grams would do. Prepare three onions and slice it to thin circles, as thin as you possibly can.
Useful tip for all recipes with dressings is to prepare it (dressing) up to two weeks earlier. Keep it in the refrigerator. On to the method - simply mix all the dressing ingredients together. Cut turkey into small pieces or strips if you prefer. Marinate it in 125 milliliters of the dressing. Boil the water in a kettle and pour in the noodles. Follow the instructions to cook noodles proper. Drain it and refresh in cold water. Put sugar snaps and sprouted beans into the strainer and spill some boiled water over. Pour over cold water after that to rinse beans and peas and shake a strainer to dry the mixture. Put the marinated turkey pieces and drained noodles into a large bowl. Add circles of onion, beans and sugar snaps. Crucial point of all recipes similar to this is at this moment - dress the whole thing with sesame and groundnut oil. Taste the salad and put on some additional dressing if you want.
The final touch of Nigella Lawson recipes: pour the coriander over, shake all together well and put the magic you produced on a plate. Arrange it nice to look as magnificent as it should.
Quantity described here should serve four to six people.
Now, is there any food network, giving you all recipes in such polite manner?

Pork steak with port and figgs

Nigella Lawson recipes

All recipes list is getting bigger. This one is one from personal Nigella Lawson recipes and can also be seen on food network. "Domestic Goddess" named this one "pig and fig" and is apparently one of favourite Nigella Lawson recipes. Nigella recommends these ingredients: two tablespoons of plain flour, half of tablespoon of grounded allspices mixture, also a half of tablespoon of ground ginger and four pork steaks. Add eight soft and dried figs, 250 millilitres of tawny port, one tablespoon of garlic oil and thirty grams of soft and unsalted butter. And if you check on food network here's one secret ingredient you won't find on all recipes similar to this one - Worchestershire Sauce.
Ok, let's cook then! To follow exact Nigella Lawson recipes method flour and spices should be mixed in a shallow plate. Fat should be cut from the pork - although that's not the case in all recipes similar I've found - and steaks should be dripped into mixture of flour and spices. Cover the whole amount of dried figs with the port. Heat the whole thing until it boils and reduce the heating a bit, so the figs boil for approximately ten minutes. Choose a frying pan big enough for all four steaks add butter and garlic oil and heat it good. When it starts to chirr - place the steaks in and fry them for five minutes on each side. Make sure that steaks are well cooked and when they are remove it from the pan. Place two steaks on one plate. Use well heated pan to add figs and port and make sure you anoint all of what was left after steaks were removed. You just might experience marvellous smell of dried figs bubbling in port. Add few drops of Worchestershire Sauce and remove the figs after they bulge. Put them beside steaks and pour some sauce all over the steaks.
I hope pork steak with port and figs recipe is a good contribution to all recipes worth publishing.

Coconut Macaroons

Nigella Lawson recipes

This is first of all recipes dealing with baking on this lens. Nigella Lawson recipes are full of "bakery", too.
These are typically one of the most British sort of macaroon, the kind you typically used to find shown in bakers' stores together with the madeleine's (those sponge bastions drizzled with lustrous strawberry jam as well as dredged inside throat-catching desiccated coconut, and thus not the same as the ones that inflamed the mind of Marcel Proust). The particular main difference with all recipes for coconut macaroons is basically that you need neither getting odd or even self-consciously retro-cool to take pleasure from these products. Nigella Lawson recipes such as this one shows a single dose of retail bossiness in this article: get shredded, far from desiccated, coconut, or else the sweet, aromatic humidity - that is certainly, all things considered, an entire issue - is without a doubt missing.
Ingredients needed for this one of - good or not - all recipes: 2 large egg whites, 100g caster sweetener, 30g flooring almonds and 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar. To follow exact Nigella Lawson recipes ideas, you should also prepare 1 teaspoon vanilla flavor taste (or maybe coconut essence, in case this specific sort of become available), 250g shredded coconut, 1 baking sheet, lined and a little of salt.
As with all recipes above, here's also the whole method of preparing the masterpiece: pre-heat the particular cookware to 170oC/gas/ level three. Beat the egg-whites until eventually creamy - no longer - begin to add some the crème of tartar plus continue on beating, Missus, up to the point gentle peaks tend to be created. Insert the sugary a teaspoon at the same time and then stir so that the peaks can carry most of the form and therefore glossy. Flip in the nuts, salt, vanilla flavor and coconut. The blend is usually sticky yet really should, however, maintain the product's form while clumped with each other.
Shape to make clementine-sized domes, 6-7cm throughout dimension. Never create them very flat; they appear finest if you keep these things appropriately rounded, however this is definitely simply a subject of individual style, thus stick to the one you have.
Bake about Twenty min's or simply up to the point they're only starting to turn gold colored across areas and you'll produce one of the masterpieces of all recipes. Method described here makes 8 large macaroons.
You can find various examples of this recipe on most of the food network programs and websites

Salmon with greens and shitake mushrooms

Nigella Lawson recipes

This one of all recipes is called "Salmon with vegetables and shitake mushroom" and it is one of my favorite Nigella Lawson recipes. I saw similar recipe on some food network in my home country and I checked if Nigella Lawson recipes contain anything like it. Well, it does!
Nigella's temple food occasions never include fey picking: she thinks this could be gratifyingly large. To be able to get pleasure from it it's not necessary to be aware that salmon happens to be loaded with Omega-3 oils, that can be advantageous to superior healthiness. There's also the fact that shitake mushrooms have been considered to incorporate cancer-fighting components.
Nonetheless the major point I may say to you is that this from the list of all recipes is excellent.
Talking about ingredients, you need a couple of skinned salmon fillets, with any luck, organic. You also need a single clove garlic (well chopped or perhaps diced), a couple of tbsps. veggie (and it could be groundnut) oil. Prepare shitake mushrooms (de-stalked and sliced), 400g of choi sum (more or less chopped), three tbsps. soya sauce and a single tbsp. of sesame oil pepper to personal preference.
According to Nigella Lawson recipes method with such amounts serves two:
Barbecue or alternatively fry the fish fillets - ideally inside of a fine non-stick pan or maybe over the smooth section of a griddle - before merely grilled through, and take away the whole bunch to warm dishes at the same time you continue or complete the veggies (you may start them off when the fish prepares).
Following the next step on all recipes - inside a heavy-based cookware, fry the garlic in the oil till definitely hot without being catching. Insert the cut mushrooms as well as the choi sum stalks, mixing all together for just a minute approximately. Protect the pan and heat approximately Five min's, get rid of the cover and incorporate the pretty chopped choi sum leaves, soya gravy plus sesame oil, after that give it time to heat for an additional 2-3 min's before the leaves get wilted.
Stack the mushrooms and vegetables to the dishes, add the salmon and consume. Prepare a small amount of marinade to complement. Accomplish that with blending together Colman's mustard powder within smooth paste with some cold drinking water, including several droplets of soya gravy plus (a micro plane grater helps make effortless job of it) a scant, pulpy puree of fresh ginger.
Secret tip you probably won't find on all recipes or any food network: for gluten free use tamari rather than soya gravy and also leave out the English mustard marinade.

Nigella Lawson interesting facts

Nigella Lawson facts that might come as a surprise

Nigella Lawson recipes come purely as a result of her experiences. She wasn't trained as a chef. In fact, she says she never opened a cooking book until she was about fifteen. Nigella claims she provide only her and her mother's ideas and experiences. Apparently she and her mother cooked a lot together when Nigella was in her teens.
Looking as gorgeus as she looks it may be a surprise for some people that she is over 50 now (getting close to 52 as I type this). As I consider myself as a bit of an expert to the topic - I believe Nigella has that gorgeous look without any plastic surgery.
Nigella Lawson claims that she and her husband Charles Saatchi are still in thir honeymoon phase, although their marriage started in 2003.
She might act like an open, flirtatious person, but Nigella Lawson says she has limitations when it comes to emotions. In fact, she does not believe in crying out loud. She also says that people who cross the street to avoid her are annoying. Yet she can't decide on which is worse: people from previous sentence or people who throw their arms around her trying to make her cry.
Nigella keeps press clipings about death of her first husband John Diamond in a boxshell named "morbidobox". Nine months after Diamond's death she moved in with her present husband Charles Saatchi.
Nigella once bought as much as twelve equal dresses in Nothing Hill. She said later she needed it for her holiday in Hamptons.
Nigella Lawson recipes are on her own words guilty she overeats when she is anxious.
Nigella Lawson recipes author is reportedly a big fan of anti wrinkle pillows.
A mixture of vitamin C and iron supplements are her first drink every mourning.
For those who are from England or any other interested - Nigella Lawson supports Chelsea Football Club.
Nigella Lawson recipes are rarely complicated. She loves simplicity in cooking and she claims she is occasionally tempted to order pizza. Pasta on hundred and one ways is her beloved recipe.

Nigella ate twenty pickled eggs for a bet in a few minutes at one occasion.
Despite her father being politician, Nigella claims she has no political ambitions. She apparently is politically positioned left of her father, but has no intensions to become a politician.
Vanessa Salmon Lawson, Nigella's mother, died of liver cancer when she was 48. Nigella's sister Tomasina died of breast cancer at only 32. And when her first husband died because of throat cancer at the age of 48 she said she was angry.
Nigella suffers for a bad back pain and she was dealing with pilates few years ago to remove that pain.
Despite looking gorgeous to many of her fans, nigella claims she does not look herself in the mirror. She said she once looked at her thighs in the mirror and immediately decided she won't do that ever again.
One particulary interesting fact about Nigella, if you ask me - she apparently is not that flirty in her private life. Her sexy, flirtatious appearance on various Nigella Lawson recipes TV shows is apparently just a trick to deal with her nervousness. People present on making of her TV shows say that she is very shy and she keeps forgetting the lines.
One of the lesbian magazines readers voted Nigella Lawson as fifth most desirable woman on planet, and Nigella told she was very flattered by that.
Being the talk of the town in many cases, Nigella once revealed her breasts are 32G. She says she spends a fortune on her underwear and she is devoted to Queen's lingerie specialists Rigby and Peller.
On the other hand she reveals she often does not wear any knickers. She says she feels OK with that as she wears long skirts for most of the time.
Her old habit is to wash her hair once every week only.
Her favourite restaurant is Scott's at Mount Street. She eats there several times a week.
When asked what would be her wish for last meal she chose roast chicken with mashed and roast potatoes. Creamed spinach should also be there, as well as bread sauce and peas.
Anyway - Nigella Lawson is in my eyes very down to earth person. Her warm and kind appearance just keeps to attract me. Hopefully, Nigella Lawson recipes are as good for you as are good for me. Enjoy!

Nigella Lawson gossips etc.

Nigella Lawson recipes author reveals some intimate affairs of her private life

So many Nigella Lawson recipes wouldn't be popular if the lady herself wouldn't talk about it in a very special way. She is known for her moaning, finger lickings and ambiguous talking. Nigella acts flirty and her TV shows spectators sometimes get the feeling she's having some sort of industrial sex toy mounted somewhere while flirting with camera. Nigella describes food and processes with it in such erotic way that some of her male spectators could swear they heard Nigella talking things like wiping sauce from her breasts etc...
Here's what famous Nigella Lawson recipes author have to say about this particular topic: she says if a woman wants to feel sexy, she has to wear stockings. She thinks men like suspenders and the whole strappy thing that goes along. Nigella revealed that she once wore nothing but stockings and a pair of high heel shoes in bed.
Nigella Lawson recipes of course have NOTHING TO DO WITH SEX. But with so much attention Nigella gets media and spectators are of course curious about everything. She told the press once she likes body hair when it comes to sex. She told she likes hairy back on men. In fact, she apparently likes body hair just about everywhere on men. Nigella stated that if she wanted some smoothness she'd probably be lesbian.
So, it is clear that Nigella Lawson uses her attractiveness as a magnet to keep viewers of her shows aroused until the show is over. Lawson repeated on many occasions that she doesn't do that on purpose.
Being so popular, Nigella of course is a target of gossips of all kinds. Internet forums are full of comments about her being over weighted, debates of her secret lovers and similar.
Author of famous Nigella Lawson recipes is equally popular by both sexes. Many women are supporting her ignorance towards everlasting references to her curvy figure. Nigella told the press that her greed is always stronger than her vanity. On the other hand, she stated she does not want to be a sample, or a role model for well-padded women. She says she worries about her weight, too, it's just that she does not want to be as thin as other girls are.

Nigella Lawson Bliss Whisk

Living Kitchen trademark item. It is a tiny, lightweight, purse convenient product. It is also long-lasting and functional plus eye-catching;Complements additional products from the Living Kitchen assortment.
I take advantage of this for numerous stuff that I've lost number. This specific whisk is not really for whipping egg-whites into clouds, this is for additional five-hundred things which a balloon whisk is not really ideal for since you can definitely grab the lower part within the bowl or pot you blend within considering that the head is flat.
One and only thing I wouldn't advise is combining warm water along with powdered egg-whites along with this specific whisk, the small coil easily clogges up. Apart from that, I personally use it for all sorts of things.
I without any doubt stronggly recommend this item!
